Pat Stoddard

Jessica Walter plays Pat Stoddard, wife of Scott, a Jordan BRM driver fighting for the World Championship.

Her struggles with her husband's dangerous career are obvious though, and by the end of the first race their relationship seems on the verge of collapsing. The accident between Scott and Pete Aron, which leaves the former seriously injured in hospital seems to be the final straw for Pat.

Somewhat inexplicably, she then falls for another driver, Pete, and decides to leave her husband. But Scott is determined to fight back from his injuries, and win back his wife. He manages both.

What does it matter to you what I do or don't do? A girl has to make a living.

Last time a girl said that to me, she was stepping out of her skirt and asking for a hundred dollar bill.

Making a comparison?

When did you last talk to Scott?

At Monaco.

That's sweet.

Why are we being so offensive?

Probably because we don't like each other.

Speak for yourself.
