I am building up a Revoslot Ferrari 333SP A White kit
I am stumped on where the exhaust block fits.
Usually it is obvious but not to me, bit baffled.
Please don't say at the back.
Regards
Gerry
One of the T32 hosts bought an Arii Datsun Fairlady 240Z static kit a while back and built it up. Everyone got hooked on it immediately.
7-kits have recently been delivered to our club members. These 3-kits will go out to their new owners this Thursday. That's everyone in the club including a few guests.
The only rule is we all need to use the Pendles 16k slim line motor. The rest is totally up to the builder.
It will likely take a month or two for all the cars to be built. No rush. I'm looking forward to it.
Thank you very kindly,
Ken

I have a Slot.it Ford GT40 with a Slot.it SP15C hornby digital chip installed, that refuses to record laps on lane one of my Scalextric Sport track. I am running Arc Pro and it records laps & times for Lane 2, but not Lane 1?
I also changed the guide to a Slotting Plus SP101002 with the same results. And swapped out the chip with one from another car that worked fine, but the problem persists.
Any suggestions?
Make no mistake the reasoning behind Scorpius and hence Nitrous is better racing. Speed, control, reliability and simply faster lap times.
The Controller is where it all begins. The Scorpius controller has a long list of goodies but how useable is that on a Carrera system.
A quick look at the Carrera controller sees only a trigger and a button as opposed to a trigger, 3 buttons and 3 knobs on a Scorpius controller.
The Carrera controller puts out 16 control steps compared to 256 on Scorpius. It has 10 braking steps set in the Control Unit not the controller compared to 256 on the Scorpius controller. And a plunger type controller versus trigger type on the Scorpius controller.
I can think of a few ways to get better lap times.
Let's start with throttle mapping.
We cant change how many steps the Carrera controller puts out. It will always be limited to 16. But we can take those steps and change the power output in the MPD Nitrous decoder.
This has never been attempted before. How ever it is simply a variation of the Scorpius Throttle Set Up program.
Instead of using this configuration program to upload to the Scorpius controller it is uploaded to the MPD Nitrous decoder.
In the diagram shown we compare a Carrera linear map to a customised one. The amount of possible maps that can be written is almost infinite.
We can set brakes 0-100, a minimum, a maximum, a choke set up, add a driver name (used in RMS functions), select ID, select a PIN, we could even implement traction control. But I'll go into those later.
The map could be recalled, re-edited and re-uploaded to the Nitrous car decoder.
As you could imagine this proposed software and firmware opens up an entire new world for Carrera users.
I can't say that I bought these as they were a gift from a friend. They just arrived yesterday. Thank you Cozwurth! (Dave in English).
A Ford J-car with a new Dash chassis, and a Tyco Lamborghini Miura body.
Cozwurth knows I have a routed track with copper tape. The J-car came pre-braided. A truly nice touch from a good friend. Thanks again, Dave!
Hello everyone
I took a drive down to Swindon today, for the annual January Slot car meet.
Now held at the Grange Leisure centre, it was an enjoyable couple of hours spent wandering, chatting, and of course buying!
I arrived at 10am, and was in the queue at 10.05am, thankfully you queue inside...
Doors opened at 10.30am precisely, and as is always the case the first couple of hours were busy.
Not sure if numbers were a bit down, the weather had been iffy overnight (snow still on the fields at Lambourn), but it felt a little quieter.
Lots of varied stalls, from traders to collectors tables. A huge variety of cars, and some track pieces at really cheap prices.
Four Lane Blacktop (the local club) had their amazing wooden routed track running. It's a fabulous bit of kit. Amusing seeing some of the youngsters trying out a proper big, quick layout!! "Slow down for the corners", was heard a lot!
They also had a Drag Strip running, good fun.
Purchase wise.....5 of the very latest Scalextric releases, at nice prices, plus the Vailiant Porsche 911 3.0 RSR which had been out a while.
It's nice to support these events, if we don't we risk losing them, and the social side of a swap meet is usually very enjoyable. Thank you to the Learmouth family for once again putting this event on. If you've not been before, give it a go next year. You never know what you'll find......
Even had a decent journey both ways. As always there were a number of Analogue drivers on the M4, hogging the middle lane. Why won't they convert to Digital, then they could move over out of the way!!
I can't be the only one who thinks this!
Hi there,
I'm new to Slotracer and have a question:-
I have an Arcpro system and have just recently purchased a third controller.
My problem is that when I try to connect it to yellow it flashes green twice but
doesn't actually connect to the Arcpro power controller. No green light permanently on under yellow, Similar problem with the other colours.
As far as I can see the system is set to digital. I.e. The switch on the side is AWAY from the track. If I use the red and green controllers they work fine and I can change lanes, use the brakes, etc. I can also connect the Scalextric app to the power controller ok.
My old controllers I purchased about three years ago. I guess they still work the same.
Also, is there a way to change the colour of an existing controller? Eg. Red to White
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Keith
Race report - 2nd January 2025 - Club Revoslots followed by F1
.
A great way to start the new year, Club Revoslots which seem to go forever followed by the superfast F1's
.
Seven of us turned up after the Christmas break, talks of new cars and catching up after the holiday.
.
Club Revoslots + club controllers
.
Ed, Paul & Kev raced each other whilst Brian, Andy, Chris & Mike shared the other heats in three's.
.
Heat #4 was the closest finish of the lot as Mike (Red lane), Brian (Yellow lane) & Andy (Blue lane) all finished less than a lap apart.
.
F1
.
- one Classic Class - Paul's Porsche 804
- one Modified Class - Kev's Minardi M195
- and five Standard Class NSR F1's raced by Andy, Brian, Mike, Ed & Chris
.
F1's are easy to race but very difficult to safely overtake in corners and with dramatic performance differences we rarely see close racing...but they are enjoyable all the same.

Next week is Group 5's followed by Small Sports/Saloons
