If the same scoring system is going to be used on the GT Proxy ?

Yes it has to remain same for the GT Proxy, because it is part of the "Triple Crown" series, otherwise I could not fairly calculate the final TC placings for the overall 3 series Award.

To be honest I love the current setup, there's plenty of options for all which spreads the prizes out more.

A free choice of gear ratios in Class A would level the playing field if you want to see them fighting harder for Event wins.

Oh I am happy enough to run whatever the host decides and am fine with the scoring even when I didn't understand it Rofl
I can imagine the amount of time and organisation required and really appreciate the work Graham puts into them, and all the sponsors for their contributions Beer
I only ask as it has a bearing on my car choices once I get my head around the permutations  Bigsmile

If you make the standard cars not at all standard, then you kind of invalidate the reason to have separate classes. But again looking at the current set up with 3 classes, you can see that in fact Class B and Class C cars are running equally as successful, with Class A cars tending to be generally slower with exception of say Mountain View’s Astra which is often running similar lap times as the other classes.
So I would in future only characterise the cars as Class A (modified Std) or Class B (open or procars.) And fewer Events, so we attempt to fill each event with a more even distribution of cars across the events.

But they're not standard are they, as you can change the guide, wheels, gears (but not gear ratio), axles, axle tubes, bushings and interior

Yes class A is a modified Standard class. In general I believe that an entrant should be able to upgrade the standard model with running parts of the cars which (as we know are quite variable) with equivalent better functional parts.

As we're racing these that makes sense, they're not collectible shelf queens 'as is' from the manufacturer.

Hi All
Well the last two events are now in the bag and the results are about to be published..

Steve Hill raced both the sessions today and his comments are that he is pleased with the overall standard of preparation which has greatly improved all the way through the field, making the cars pleasant to drive with the minimum of hiccups.
There has been a few issues to sort all at my detriment !!
So the Road runners Honda had an issue with the cockpit dropping and a
 braids connectivity. Fixed ?
WVSAM ‘s Skyline started to make a unhealthy noise so it was stopped just in case it did any damage. After opening the car up, we found no visible problems, so could only think it was the motor!
So we lubricated the shafts and gently run it in… no more noise and a smooth runner once again.
Fixed?
As you will see in the results both these cars tied on primary time and both beat my MVR cars on the lap times.. oh well at least it was fair and square ???
