Official Launch "Targa Florio Roadrace “
Intended to start in October 2025

   


Basically Cars would run as 3 Groups based on car types.
Group 1 1950-1960 sports cars
Group 2 1960- 1977 Sports & Touring Cars
Group 3 1966-1977 GT & Prototype Cars.

There are two construction classes for each Group
Group 1
A) Modified Standard class for moulded plastic, resin, fibreglass or 3d printed body models with fixed motor mounts and resin, plastic, universal or 3d printed chassis.
B) Procar class for moulded plastic resin, fibreglass or 3d printed body models with adjustable motor mounts and plastic, universal, or 3d printed chassis (no metal chassis)

Group 2
C)  Modified Standard Class for plastic, resin, fibreglass moulded or 3d printed body with fixed motor mount, and plastic, Universal, 3d printed ,PP or Revoslot chassis.
D)  Procar Class for plastic, Resin, fibre moulded or 3d printed body with with adjustable motor mounts and plastic, universal, 3d printed, B&W or steel chassis.

Group 3
E) Modified Standard Class for plastic, resin, fibreglass moulded or 3d printed body models with fixed motor mount, universal, 3d printed  or plastic chassis.
F) Procar class for moulded plastic, resin, fibreglass or 3d printed body with, adjustable motor mounts, plastic, universal or 3d chassis (no metal chassis)


There will be Winners Awards for the fastest cars to complete the Rounds/Stages in the shortage tome for each of the Construction Classes at the end of the series

Entries would be welcome for up to 3 cars of different construction (A,B,C,D,E or F) in any of the 3 Groups, or the same construction in different Groups. I may have to cap 3 car entries if the number looks like exceeding the limit of 48 cars, so you will asked to choose your preferred 2 car entries on the Registration Form.

I have intentionally allocated specific groups of cars to designated Classes, ie Scratchbuild Class A, metal chassis in Class C/D and Area TA71 cars to Class D/F. This is to ensure we have a level playing field as best as I can.

We've been running a Targa Florio event for over a year now, using all four of our tracks, three Rally and one three lane circuit... it's very enjoyable with cars not normally allowed on our Rally tracks.

I have a Fly Porsche 908/3 and love driving it in these events.

If a host has Rally and circuit can they choose to run both as we do?

Yes of course, probably limit it to a maximum of 3 tracks or “stages” for each host Round.

Little known fact, Anatoly Artunoff arrived at the 1971 Targa Florio with a 1971 L88 Corvette but did not start, would this car be eligible for the proxy?
