So after a hectic week, my two stages of Round 4 are done, I still can run a 3rd Ninco track stage at the end depending on the well being of one of our hosts. However I will be checking to see if our next host has moved house yet and can run his Round whilst I am on holiday in Scotland.
The Combined results from Stages 1-7 are below
Dakar Chat
On the face of it nothing much has changed, certainly my round was beneficial to Andy P and BARacer, and others seemed to loose out but of course that's what we find with such a wide range of track layouts and types. But overall most of the leading positions have been maintained.
Ninco R1
Mike Scott's Bowler looking unbeatable with Chris Mitsubishi and Pip's Touareg 25 secs behind....mind you we said that last year.
SCX R2
Similarly once again Paul's Touareg is 13 secs ahead of Phil's Peugeot 405, well ahead of the rest of the others.
Lightweight Vehicles R3
My Odyssey is 16 secs ahead of MYST Porsche 959, but that Porsche is a very capable competitor, so don't feel that secure at the moment.
Heavyweight Vehicles R4
Well the AA van is 108 secs ahead of my Merc Truck, which on current form is going backwards
Dakar Sprint R5
And Chris Landrover is 62 secs ahead of Mike's Porsche 911sc
So overall we have some fairly well established leaders, barring any mishaps in the closing stages.

Hi Graham
Not been around for a few days, so thank you for the re run of the previous stage for Ninco and SCX vehicles, appreciated
Love the grass effect addition on your SCX track, were did you get it, and perhaps more importantly, do the Ninco vehicles cope with it?
I only have the Ninco raid cars, but it looks a great addition. The corrugated cardboard is inspired, why hadn't I thought of that!
Looking forward to the last few stages.

I only used the corrugated cardboard for the Ninco cars as it’s similar size to the Ninco obstacles you get, but I like it as I think it is more of a consistent challenge and less of a unpredictable obstacle.
The grass is outside the reach of the Ninco cars. Generally speaking the SCX cars are the most versatile and will run well over every kind of obstacle. The artificial grass was just a piece of a off cut I bought off eBay and glued onto a plain section of old SCX track.

Good MorningThe box of cars should be going onto Woodcote on Friday for the last Round
After this round, should there be a "tie breaker" required for 1st place in any of the categories I would run the cars on my Ninco track on return after my holiday on the 1st week of August. Otherwise we will declare the winners after this Final Round.
