Touring Cars Slotting Proxy
#1

Here we go, perhaps a temporary poster as I am finding trouble finding something that captures the theme

So having listened and learned from the forthcoming Rally Proxy format, I have decided upon the plan below.

I am sticking with the same basic form of rules and car classes as for the Rally, except the Brass & Wire constructed chassis cars will be included as Class B cars.
I have made some concessions to Class A cars which will be allowed "upgrades" to running parts (Spares) and Interiors but not basic body/chassis modifications, and before I am asked, yes Revoslot models will be allowed in Class C as Procars. The motor limit for Class A cars generally 18,000 rpm at 12 volts (ie standard motors) but there are some aftermarket  alternatives with slightly higher rating and different ruling on eligible Ninco motors & orientation. Class B & C cars will have a maximum limit of 23,000 rpm at 12 volts. See Eligible motor list for Class A & BC cars.

The host tracks I hope to use will be both wood and plastic, I am hoping to have 6 club Rounds and 4 home based Rounds depending on the good will of our hosts.

Car lists
They may not be absolutely complete, so if you think some car is missing and only if you want to enter it, I will be pleased to check it out on the relevant website. So these lists are for most entrants convenience. If you have no intention of entering a car not listed please don't ask me to check it out.

N.B. guide size is advisory... Thumbup

I'll have to let our club members know about this one as a few have been asking about the Rally proxy coming to town.

Event 3 Super

Hi Graham,
I see the Alfa 156 is included in eligible cars for this event, but you have put it's year as 1998, with the series being quoted as 1980 to 95. Just checking as an Alfa 156 would be one of my options.

What's the difference between Standard or upgraded Class A and Modified Class A please?

I have a RWD Scalextric Mini that's been 'Pendlised' - Pendle alloys and tyres, their 20k can motor, Slot.it? crown and an unknown guide.

It's no race winner - but it's fun  Bigsmile

I have a similar Revell NSU TT as well, so two 'different' cars for two different classes.

I may be able to rustle up a car for each of the other classes too.
