Looking forward to running the 3rd in the series of Slot Car events celebrating this unique class of "off road vehicles"
I have included a category next year for the "Dakar" type trucks or similar vehicles. We will be starting earlier in June next year, so it is time to start planning your entries. 

Additionally a further category has now been added for a "Classic Dakar Sprint Race" for historically listed vehicles between 1979 and 2000
A list of these vehicles are attached. Trucks are not included in this category.

Event Fees
The Event fees are £8.50 per car, only 3 category's can be entered (maximum 3 vehicle entries)

As I sit here full of cheese and booze and planning (in my head), does anyone know if the ninco raid chassis that pendles sell come with drop arms? Can't see one on the picture. I will be emailing them about it but no one is there until the new year, so wondered if the have mind might know.

Hi Mike,
I think the Ninco Raid chassis are specific to the Ninco Raid models, so probably meant to be just replacement chassis without drop arm. Even if they did supply the drop arm with the chassis it would only be eligible for the Ninco Class cars.

Better option if your thinking of a scratchbuild model is the Scaleauto Dakar adjustable chassis (SC-6902)

Pendle are out of stock at the moment, but they should be able to order them in from Scaleauto

Thanks Graham, so even if I used a ninco chassis as a base, and everything else was a different make (scaley body, slot it axles etc) would it be classed as 'ninco class'?

Thanks for your helpful imput Kevan, however I'm on about using a ninco chassis as a base for a homebuilt car, which I believe is now part of Class R3. I already have a ninco car for Class R1.

The problem is a practical one Mike, the drop arm on the Ninco is too short for the runs we make with the advanced classes, so it could only run with the Ninco cars.
