Hi Mike,
I have fixed that, I think all 29 vehicles are accounted for now.

THe Porsche should have run better but we thought it was too light on the front.

1st Place - Classicchrisk -Landrover (95.81 sec)
2nd Place - BARacer - Panda (104.91 sec)
3rd Place - Graham - Porsche 911SC ( 113.43)

I'm very new to this discipline. Really pleased with the performance of the Landy, was thinking of putting a Spirit Peugeot 205, in this class, but decided to to take a risk, building something a bit different. Glad I did! Pity my Ninco Pajero Evo, was one of the slower ones in R1!  Bigsmile

Based on previous experience, none of the 29 vehicles could be said to be slow in this Proxy, and the current last one could well become the leading one by the end of the series  Rofl

Probably more likely to get outright winners this way than if we attribute points.

Graham

Just a thought...an accumulated time based result will work if all the vehicles run on the same track at each venue. But isn't it the case that other hosts will be adapting features on their track to suit the differing abilities of Ninco, SCX and the sprint cars. Therefore times between classes won't be comparable?

I love puttering with gears

It is still the case that each Category will have its own winner, and that the listing in order of times overall is for convenience and perhaps for personal satisfaction. There will be no overall winner as such across categories.

As to the adaptation of the Stage tracks for different categories, I will leave it to the discretion of the hosts to decide.
My own opinion is that for convenience it is probably sufficient to run each Stage as variations of track layout and dispense with adding the additional obstacles which were a feature previously. I have tried all the Dakar (R5) cars on a SCX steep inclined flyover at Wye Valley on one of their other stages and all the vehicles made it over OK.

So in practise all the vehicles are "Ninco & SCX road worthy"

I think running the SCX or Ninco obstacles takes alot longer to do, and on reflection is probably an unnecessary complication, so I am opting out of using them this time.

Just been looking for a venue schedule, but haven't been able to find one. Probably me missing something. Where and what is, "Gpa113"?

Cheers Chris

Hi Graham,
Found this list, in the body of the text. I suspect this is the latest venue schedule.

Wye Valley Slot Club- Abergavenny
Gpa113- Woking
Woodcote - Brighton
Mike S - Plymouth
CMOTD - Kings Lynn
Graham E - Nottingham

Is there any more detail on track types etc?
