Further to the point above I had revised the Rules in regard to Category R5
R5 Class (Dakar Classic Sprint Race) Standard RTR models from Scalextric, Carrera, Ninco, Fly, Revell, Avant, Scaleauto, Team Slot etc. Any upgrades or modifications are allowed. No RAID specific RTR vehicles are permitted which are specified within the Category’s R1, R2, R3 & R4. But parts can be use in order to scratch build suitable models if they comply with the rules below.
Technical Rules specific to R5
Resin or 3d printed hard plastic moulded bodies are permitted. No lightweight vacuum formed shells permitted. Chassis can be as supplied as in RTR models, modified or with 3d printed replacement and Brass & wire chassis are permitted. Motor type and orientation is free choice. Interior can be original or a 3d representation lightweight replacement. Interiors must include both driver and navigator, wheels must have inserts and all parts fully painted. Drop arms if used should have a maximum active drop (braids to front wheels when in maximum open position) of 2cm. Guides with suspension fitted is highly recommended. Maximum practical track clearance should be used depending on model.
Additionally as it was suggested to me, I think it is a good idea for this event that 3 cars can be entered for any of the 5 categories, so the fee structure will be different from the usual.
Event Fees
The Event fees are £8.50 per vehicle, only 3 category's can be entered (maximum 3 vehicle entries)
Remember that there is no Team prize for this Proxy, each Category has its own winner.
