Extreme Slotting Rally-Raid The Send Scramble Part 2.
Final class was R5 The Dakar Sprint vehicles.
These all ran well on this route, I even left the pair of obstacles in place! As they were right in front of the driver station any mishaps could be marshalled quickly. Even the little Fiat Panda cleared them on 3 out of 5 laps!
An easy class victory for the Land Rover of ClassicchrisK. This is surprisingly fast, and obviously well put together. Not sure of the chassis make, but the drop arm guide works well. It slid around the bends a treat. Mike's Porsche Tractor (his description, not mine!) was next up and went really well, once you'd worked out its capabilites on the incline. It wanted to take off if pushed too fast!
3rd on the stage was the Police Austin A30, which went much better this time. Being able to keep the pace up helped it. Just back was the Ninco Porsche of Graham. A deslot on the bend before the incline didn't help, but it's fast. The Fiat Panda was steady, and just about hang on, it even cleared the SCX bridge!
The Land Rover took a comfortable class win, some 8.5s clear of a great scrap between the Porsches of Graham and Mike, who completed the podium positions. The Police whizzed around for 4th, whilst the gallant little Fiat amused to 5th.
What a varied selection of entries!
