Quick results in for the last two classes
Mike raced the Ninco class and I the scratch class.
Was hectic and very enjoyable?
Will give a fuller report tonight when I have more time .
Big thanks to Mike who made the event a lot easier as the marshalling and the admin was quicker, as well as I didn’t drive my own cars?.

Wavegreen Morning Folks well after the Penny Lane or was it Strawberry Fields Stage, the cars will be packed ready to travel down to the South  for the next Host Pip B

However the overall results are below

A quick review
Class A - absolutely nothing in this with Mike just about holding onto the leading position (less than half a lap) with his carefully prepared Nemesis
Class B-  Paul also holding onto the SCX class with his Touareg with a 3 lap advantage over the others.
Class C-  Having found some rougher track surface, pleased to see that my I-Pace (Mitoos) has regained the lead by just over half a lap.
Class D - oh my god! that Panda just keeps going and now has a 7 lap advantage over the others, sadly mechanical failure caused Mikes Mitsubishi to remain in the paddock, can it be fixed before the next stage, not sure at the moment.

Hello All Wavegreen

A nice big box of Slot Cars arrived yesterday,  courtesy of DHL, and here's a first, I haven't paid for this lot!!!Wrench

Unpacked them this evening,  and sorted them all into their respective classes, which was very easy with Chief Organiser Graham's colour coded paperwork and class stickers.

They all got a couple of "test" laps, to make sure the journey to me had not caused any problems.
Only one issue to report, the BMW X5 of Woodcote, in Class A - Ninco.    Don't worry Andy, it was a simple problem,  and fix! The motor had popped out of its mount at the rear, so the gears had no hope!  All fixed and ready to go.

Mike's Mitsubishi Pajero, Class D - Scratchbuilt,  had been poorly at the previous stage.  I thought I could see the problem when I unpacked it, and it seems the rear axle has a tendency to "relocate " itself!   Interesting....... Having pulled it down further, it now runs fine, sort of...
You need to be careful on obstacles and if you land to quickly from a decent or jump it often pushes so far up that the gears sound truly awful,  and as reported at the  previous Stage, it just about crawls forward. The glass and interior also were loose, and moving about, so I've applied a tiny bit of superglue to the front of the interior to keep it from damaging itself,  hopefully.    I will be careful with it, but at the moment Mike, its good to go.

This is my first time hosting a Proxy event,  but I've been running my own club for a few years now, so I'm used to being left in charge of everything!

Stage 6 - Send Scramble,  will be Saturday morning.
Stage 7 - The Highs and Lows,  will be Sunday morning.
No live coverage, can't keep up with Woodcote!, but will post photos and reports.

Will post some pictures of Stage 6 layout - Send Scramble - tomorrow.

I appreciate the efforts Pip! If the class D Pajero needs retiring then so be it. Good luck for the weekend!  Thumbup

Extreme Slotting -  Stage 6 - "Send Scramble "

All set for tomorrow's Stage 6.   This is the Ninco off road layout,  as per the set instructions.  Measuring 12.3 metres,  it is tight and twisty, with some nice elevation changes.   I will  be using the Ninco off road "obstacles " for all classes, as nearly all cars pass without issue. Running clockwise on the yellow marked lane.

First up will be... Class A - Ninco.  Going in entry list order.  Followed by Class B SCX,   then Class C - Avant/ Mitoos/Scaleauto, and finally Class D - Scratchbuilt "Wacky Races"!

Will post Class results as soon as each group is completed.  Looking forward to it  Sun
