Our 2026 WHO Digital GT Championship sees six teams - led by our Gold-rated drivers - race over three two-hour races on Wednesday evenings, followed by a four-hour, double-points championship finale at our June GT Saturday.

The WHO GT cars run to our local interpretation of the DiSCA GT4 Scalextric Clubman rules, requiring mostly standard Scalextric parts to be used throughout. The older Sidewinder models are permitted to use a vac-formed interior as a Balance of Performance measure.

Teams are strictly Pro-Am - our driver ratings based on performances across all our WHO events and weighted towards individual races. There are six Gold and Six Silver 'Pro' drivers, with all other drivers rated as Bronze. Pro-Am means that at least one Bronze-rated driver must race on each team and must share the driving time equally. A two-minute driver change window straddles the end of stints at 20, 40, 60 and 80 minutes, giving six stints in a two-hour race. A three-driver team shares the six stints equally - two each. A four-driver team must share the six stints equally between Pro (Gold/Silver) and Am (Bronze) drivers, ie Bronze drivers must race at least three stints.

Like last year, we start the championship racing on Barns Hatch - Mike's interpretation of the Kent circuit's Grand Prix layout...

And also like last year, Alex won't be attending the Wednesday races, so has handed the ASTCOM-One Audi R8 GT3 to Simon to navigate through the first three races.

Other team news...

Mike's newly-named AIM-9 will be running side-winder cars again this season. He'll be joined by Steve Croft and Stephen McCann.

Écurie Escargot will be resurrecting the red & white Aston Martin Vantage V12. Rob Allison joins the team as deputy, alongside Andy.

Gearzilla Racing are back with the same SunEnergy Mercedes AMG GT3. Oliver will be racing alongside Rob Bean. Isaac is another regular driver, but its his sixteenth birthday on Wednesday and he's doing other things...

Shift Happens! is Dean's team for 2026. Rookies Kinsley, Jaxson and Mike make up an inexperienced, but enthusiastic quartet.

Terry's first season as a Gold driver will see Laps in Concentration on the grid and Ash as the Silver driver. There's a good chance we'll see another Vantage V12.

All other drivers will be allocated on the night.

Hard Body - Great North Slot Race

Just over a month to go before the first Great North Slot Race of the year at South Manchester SCC on Saturday 18th April 2026.

Three classes starting with a F1 Sprint race of 1 minute heats.

Followed by Saloon of 2 minute heats

Then finally Sports / GT with 3 minute heats.

It would help with the organisation if you intend to participate or are interested to let me know.

Thanks
Gerry

I know it has been covered before but that ws quite a while ago and technology moves fast, so are there ny good options for micro scalextric lap timing.

Is there a comprehensive cars list for micro scalextric ?

Slot.it have kindly sent us images of the first plastic test shots of their new Porsche 917, which will be unveiled this weekend at the Model Expo Fair in Verona.

As we expect from Slot.it, there will be four different versions:

  • CA68 Porsche 917/20 (it will include the famous Pink Pig)
  • CA69 Porsche 917 the first versions that can be recognised by the flat and slim tail on the sides that follows front body's width
  • CA70 Porsche 917 models that raced mostly in the 70s that can be recognised by the flat and rounded side's tail
  • CA71 Porsche 917 models that raced mostly in the 71s that can be recognised by the two vertical fins on the tail

All versions have same cockpit and - except for CA68 - the same chassis,  same front part of the body, same transparent spare parts. There are also two types of low side panels - one straight and one curved - to make all versions possible.

Here are those images!

Once again the Whitchurch Slot Rally Club along with “Small World “ Blaenau Ffestiniog are host ing a four round Championship primary targeting those racers who cannot afford the time or expense to travel to the GB Rally rounds because of the geography of the series, however we are open to all who wish to race on our stages and the ones at Small World are spectacular with challenging stages and very detailed scenic. ( see pictures ).
The cost is £5 a car with four classes, Open 4Wd Open 2Wd following the GB rules of inline only. Best Scalextric/SCX and best 3d chassis.

Please view our Facebook page or PM me for details if this is of interest.

Hi to all, newbie here

Please can somebody help me as I am going mad.    Angry

I built a 2 lane wooden track about a year ago and opted to use a dead strip for lap counting and timing. All went well for a while until everything went blank, reading between the lines it would appear that I caused a spike in the system when the cars went over the dead strips onto the Arduino.
For nearly 6 months now I have spoken to many people and the result seems to be that I have damaged the Arduino board. I have since bought several more Arduino boards but my biggest problem seems to be uploading the sketch onto the board, I just cannot get the sketch to upload.
What am I doing wrong.
I have 2 lights on the Arduino which come on when I connect it to the laptop, green and amber, but when I load should the amber light flash?

Our first AFX race of 2026 takes place on a rather rapid track, first used for our Mod & Tuners nights...

These F1 races are supported by AFX and hopefully soon by their European distributor. From a first batch of merch, we have three AFX hats left... It's strictly one each - so would new race or junior winners take a hat home?

I have taken a huge liking to the BRM brand . Maybe in my old age I like the size ?. However the quality is outstanding!

I decided I wanted to build the Piper P4 version as it raced at Kyalami in the Springbok series in the 60s. Thus I bought the white kit.

While the quality of the parts is impressive the complete lack of instructions is curious to say the least. There is a single picture of the parts in the area where they fit. Seen in pic below.

So I sat for an hour or so fitting parts a looking where the fit. I then had to deduce the order of the build .
I had a file for the decals which I printed an started after painting

The story so far
