If this goes ahead would it be worth doing a bulk order for bodies if sufficinent want one from the lists.?
Gerry
I am quite happy to arrange this for any entrants, as I bought a few myself before. Bear in mind that he makes mostly to order, so no good leaving to the last minute. He is working on two more models this year the Dehaye 175 and Packard 2 seater sports Coupe I believe.

The only downside I see are the Classes aren't going to be fairly matched, 8mm wide tyres on a 57mm wide car is going to be no match for 12mm wide tyres on a 64mm wide car, so all those entering the Carrera event are only going to be competing for that award and won't really stand a chance in the A,B & C Class awards as we saw in the last Rally proxy where Andy's brass & wire chassis XK120 was the only car from the Monte Carlo event to feature in the 9 Class awards won.
Can’t quite see your point, as the Event 1 cars are only going to be competing against each other for that Event award, and Event 2 cars for that award etc. So there is no competition between the different Events for an overall award.
Obviously I'm 100% aware of that as mentioned in my post, but I'm talking about the A,B & C Class awards which compare the cars across the different events.

There is no plan to have across Event class awards either.

Does that mean each Event will have it's own A,B & C car category awards?

If there is sufficient number of cars representing each category entering in an Event. So this would be decided after the cars arrived. As far as I am aware no Category C cars would be available for Event 1 in the RoadRace anyways.

Back to the future" planning thread.
Updated "Classic Road Races Proxy" plan
A further update to clarify the options for each Event, I have reduced the motor rpm for the Carrera Pan Americana Event to 18k rpm, so that we might see the original American Sedans more able to compete with the more agile Sports cars in this Event.

I decided that as we only likely to come down this "Road Race proxy" the once, I have modified the original split of Classes in the Event 1 Carrera Pan Americana. And having just read a book on the subject.
Actually in the first Pan Americana Road Race in 1950 only Sedans were permitted.
Thereafter they were categorised separately when Sports cars were allowed in 1951.
So I will separate the Event 1 into Sedans and Sports cars accordingly, and there will be a separate award for the winners of both Sedans and Sports cars, and for this proxy if you wish to enter one sports car & Sedan in the Event 1 you can, as I am not expecting we will get alot of entries for this Event based on previous experience. So it will be great to see this full of classic cars.
