Global Touring Cars Slot Car Challenge Proxy -REGISTRATION
#1

HAPPY NEW YEAR !

I have attached the REGISTRATION Document below.
A separate form is rerquired for each car entered.

Registration Fees
PayPal preferred Account (family & friends) graham.gaedwards@gmail.com

The cost is £20 for 1st car, then plus £5 each for each subsequent car entered (max 3)
Overseas entrants will need to cover the excess cost for cars returned.

You can enter 2 cars of different construction in Event 1 only (eg, Revoslot & another or Mini type and another, but only one car with a metal chassis other than a Revoslot). If you are not sure let me know what your wanting to enter and I will clarify for you.

Registration Car Race numbers
In previous proxies this has mostly not been an issue as cars have generally been different liveries and car numbers, but potentially I can see that with recently new introduced Touring car models this could be this time. So if I receive Registration forms with more than one exact car/livery with the same number requested I will ask the latter entry or entries to apply different decal numbers, so we don't have visually identical cars running in any of the 3 Events.

There are 3 Events
Event 1 Smaller Saloon/Sedan Touring cars (Mostly based on European Touring car competitions)
Event 2 Super or Modern Touring cars (Mostly Scalextric body Super Touring cars of the 90's and Modern BTC cars
Event 3 Larger Saloon /Sedan Touring cars (Mostly American or Bathurst 1000 Muscle and DTM Saloon Touring cars)

Awards
There will be overall winners awards for each of the 3 Events.
Additional winners or Runners up Awards will be announced when the Registration List has been completed.
This depends on the eventual entry list composition ( eg Fastest Revoslots or Mini Type car in Event 1, Super Touring or Modern for Event 2 or perhaps Fastest Muscle or DTM car for Event 3)

REGISTRATION FORM
Please only register cars when technical details are finalised.

ROUNDS
There are expected to be 8 Rounds to this proxy based on cars being raced against each other on at least 2 different car lanes. There will be a mixture of Plastic and Routed wood tracks used.

KEY DATES
Proxy Fees Payment and Registration Deadline 1st March
Cars To be Delivered for Scrutineer Checks by 1st April
Proxy Start Date 1st May

TECHNICAL RULES
.pdf Global Touring Cars Challenge Final Rules.pdf Size: 302.11 KB  Downloads: 3

Car liability
Every effort is made to transport these cars in a responsible safe manner inside the packaging for transportation to and from the hosts around the country. And additionally there is a responsibility of care by the hosts to run & race these cars in a manner which minimalises damage caused by collisions with other cars or other parts off the track.
However any damage caused must be reported should it occur so as to infom the entrant of issues. However hosts and the Administrator (me) cannot be held directly responsible if such damage occurs. Entrants enter their cars at their own risk.

Happy New Year everybody and thank you Graham

I have registered 3 cars, 1 in each section. Please confirm if you received the registration.
Also please let me know how I need to make payment for them and the shipping.

I was thinking about car numbers. As this is global touring cars that are based on real cars changing livery and numbers is difficult especially for cars that are mass produced.
Maybe cars could have the same livery number if they are clearly marked/identified underneath and on chassis?

Thank you
Fred

Your Registration forms have been received, many thanks.
I sent you a pm regarding clarification of one of the models please.

Payment will be required by 1st April, I will add that onto the leading thread.
Regarding the numbering, all the cars are identified underneath with an individual Sticker number which I apply, but when it comes to running the cars, it can still cause some confusion if the cars look identical and the cars get de-slotted during racing. So I would ask that stick on decal numberss are applied to the few cars which might be duplicated if necessary.

I’m asking because I truly don’t know…..is it possible to share the same numbers as a builder running in 3 classes, or is that a different mess for a track host?

As usual the 3 Events will be run separately, and should have mostly different cars running in each event. So basically there is only an issue if you have 2 or 3 Volvo Estates or perhaps Camaro 69’s entered with exactly the same livery and number in one Event. Otherwise all other cars with different liveries but perhaps the same number would not be affected.
It is best to get your cars registered early and then we will see if there are any number issues to resolved.

I have added on the leading page  a "Entrant List update table" which I will fill in as I receive the registration forms.
So this will act as confirmation and acceptance of the proposed entries.
