Thanks Graham, photos downloaded, and briefing sheet read.

I'll put them on our clubs FB page for the other entrants to access.

One or two things to do before 'opening the box', set up the webcams for filming the racing (sadly not live as we don't have internet at the club), setting up RaceCoordinator special heats for 42 cars (I have tested it on my laptop)...and most importantly deciding which of us (five entries from our club) is going to drive which cars (I'm not expecting all to want to drive).

Just a quick question Re: running order.  Is the qualifying running order to be used regardless of which event the cars are in? I.e. looking down the list, would we have Savage GT's Event 1 Mustang running alongside WVSAM's Event 3 Skyline? And is this running order to be kept for the whole season or would you want it to change dependant on the current standings?

Hi Ade,

We'll be running two cars at a time so will be starting at the bottom of the qualy sheet with those two cars, they'll be closely matched and hopefully not much overtaking required.

We'll work our way up the qualy sheet in pairs.

Without an official qualy time your two cars have been placed in appropriate places in the qualy order, as I've driven your Rally cars I'd expect your Touring cars to be competitive runners also.  I've guesstimated your Escort to start alongside Brumos BMW and your M4 to start alongside WV Sam's Skyline

No each Event will be run separately, the qualifying times determine the running position of each car within that event. The issue with your cars is that you failed to record a qualifying time so kind of upset the entire system. So I will leave it to the hosts to decide how they wish to deal with that, probably easiest for most hosts to run them 1st in each Event (as the slowest cars) and work up the list or visa versa. However we will learn as we go along as to where perhaps these two cars should have fit in. And maybe able to locally change the running order accordingly.

But the running positions are now fixed, as the car sticker numbers have been added and the cars will be listed as they are for all the Rounds.

I replied to Ade's comments above, but in general having overdue cars is a BIG problem.
It interferes with the preparation of the ordering of the cars in the box, it gives me a a headache getting the cars checked out or running a qualifying time etc.
In this case these cars were delivered around 12.30, the DPD man was due from 11.50, but arrived at 1pm.
So I had 30 minutes to do everything and repack all the cars again etc.  Anyway RANT OVER!

For the next Proxy I will specify a Cars Arrival date to be not less than 2 weeks before we start, if they arrive after that Deadline date they will incur a Fixed penalty Notice.

If you are running two cars at a time does that mean that not all the cars in the same class will be driven by the same driver?

As 5 of us have entered we can't all run 42 cars 5 times so there's going to have to be a compromise somewhere.

Run in pairs for one race, cars then swap lanes then run a second race with the drivers staying in their lane thereby driving both cars in the same lane.  42 heats, all cars run twice, once in each of two lanes.

I'm not expecting all 5 of us to want to drive, ideally just two of us will do the driving to keep it a fair and level playing field.

...but what about the other 3 who've also paid to enter the proxy, some may want to drive also. Maybe they can drive the cars after the racing is over without affecting the official results.

So we will have a chat about who's doing the driving on Thurs night (our race nights).
