I think you read my post correctly, the 4 eras I mentioned would be 4 different proxies each split into 4 different events as you've been doing already. Four is obviously one too many for a 'triple crown' so one would go which would probably be the pre 50's Historic as they'd mostly have to be scratch built which would put most people off.
A Classic 50's & 60's as you've suggested for the first of three in the 'triple crown' with the usual 4 events would be full of many varied and interesting cars.
I'm sure a few of you are enjoying the Silverstone Festival streamed live this last couple of days, yesterday was 10 hours of qualy action with an unbelievable number of very famous race cars from the past which has been the best thing I've watched on the telly for years (just got a 'smart' tv so watching on that).
What I didn't realise before was just how enjoyable watching such a varied mix of race cars is and this proxy idea of yours Graham is along the exact same lines.

As I said the “Triple Crown” concept of 3 proxy series award ends in the spring next year.
After that I will only be looking at one off proxies. But there could be a common format based on how well this proposed one is received.

Wow, that looks a potentially VERY special proxy...I'm in!
- might be a good idea to place a big order for Predator motors 18/22/25

I thought I had better add on the Maximum Body width requirements in the post above, so the Modsports and Special Saloons will have to meet the same body width as the Prototype sports cars.
But I thought the inclusion of these models was quite different and quite exciting addition to the Proxy

That was my first thought when looking at the basic rule spec.
I don't like hacking up bodyshells unless it's going to reflect something that actually raced so in this instance I'm happy to do so.

I would certainly expect any cars submitted to represent “actual” rather than fictional cars, and I would want to see a photo of the car which is to be represented validating the accuracy of the representation. Otherwise I would reject any models which do not match the actual cars.

Would all car need to be painted in period colours?
I had a db5 body shell that would have made a perfect mod Sport.
