Touring Cars Slotting Proxy

Is there still time to register a new entrant? A club member who's never entered a proxy before would like to enter a single car, class C, event 3.

According to my calculations we have 42 car entries to be confirmed, so there should be enough room in the box to fit another car or two.
So yes ask your club member to send me a pm on here or the Facebook page to confirm his interest and I can give him the payment details.

Hi Graham, he's not on any forums so I've filled an entry sheet in for him.

I'll organise payment, I don't know if he has paypal, if not one of the other club members can pay and he can pay them with cash.  Thumbup

REGISTRATION DAY  Thumbup

We have arrived at the designated Registration day with 5 weeks to go.
As you can see below there are still some question marks as to what cars everyone is running, however I do believe that I had sufficient confirmations and a couple of withdrawals in order to see in which Events and Car Classes most of us are running.
A couple of entrants are on holiday, so I will defer the model disclosure at least until the end of the week.

In total we look like having 24 "Teams" with around 40 cars to my knowledge.

Event 3 looks a little oversubscribed, so I might change my Event 3 to 1 or 2 depending on what I can find off the shelf.

The Teams highlighted in yellow are those who I had confirmation of payment, so if you think you have sent the payment and are not highlighted let me know and I will check the Paypal account again.

Hi Graham, with a possible 35 cars (and counting) what's the plan for race length?

I know it's a lap limited event but what kind of time per race should we aim for.

We usually race 3 minute heats on our club nights, for Saloon type cars that would be around 26 laps for a decent running car.

Is 2 minutes too short with the number of laps chosen to suit?

I know it's over 5 weeks away but I'd like to start planning ahead somewhat.

It will of course depend on the individual Host track lengths and available time to run all the cars, but if your average lap time for Saloon cars is around 7 secs, then 20 laps should be sufficient for each car.

20 laps sounds long enough for a proper race  Thumbup
