Good afternoon
I have finished the "Rally Cars Slotting " Rules for 2023
Has been revised later on thread
I will give them a month to circulate in which time I am open to a small amount of tweaking, after which they will become "law"

I like the class/event split Graham, hopefully result in a wide array of cars.

Can you tube the front axle of a class A car or does it remain ‘wobbly’?
Also (and I may not have read the rules properly) if I have a Ninco NC-1 powered car can I change that to an NC-2?
Looks like an interesting class split, I like the classes within an era split, allows for all sorts of different builds

I have also added the "nasty bits about the infringement penalties" to the Rules posted above.

Am I reading this right that each round run by a host will feature the four 'events', and that each of those 'events' will have three classes? So twelve categories in total for each round?
I love puttering with gears

Almost,
Each event will be run after each other, as we have this year. And within each Event there may be cars from the 3 classes represented,
but all the Car Classes in an Event will be run together (ie at the same time). The Car classes will not be separated into different running groups.
At the end of the series each Car Class winner of each Event will get a winners medal (like the live Rally UK Event) But there will not be any runners up medals.
The main reason for my point of view is that enables entrants to enter the competition "within their means or ability" for all 4 Events within a series and compete equally with others in the same Car Class as well as being part of the overall series as with the other competitors entering different Class Cars.

6mm guide depth maximum
is this the depth of the guide flag (out of the packet / trimmed ) without braid ?
or 6mm from underside of braid to bottom of guide ?
and after my latest American proxy track clearance episode , can we be clear on what exactly will be an infringement please Graham ( gears . motor . adjustable axle screws etc )
front wheels / tyres , touching track or not ?
so we will have 4x proxy rally events through out the year with 3x classes in each event ?
think thats it

I think you will be fine of course, we will let Graham answer. The CANADIAN Trans Am rules were originally written by me and then modified by the host. I don’t feel you will have a twitch or tick developed by running one of Graham’s proxies.

How i see it is:
1 event - Rally
Instead of classes A,B,C,D there are now 4 eras of rally.
Inside each era is now 3 classes (A,B,C)
So you pick two eras of rally to enter in, within that, the car you enter can be either class A,B or C
You race as an era but you can be the only Class A car entered in that era and then you win that class.
For example:
1car entered for modern rally, then that car can either be: standard rtr scalextric, Ninco etc (Class A)
Modified class A or scratch built (Class B)
Or a ‘Pro Built’ car NSR, Slot-it etc (Class C)
The whole era runs together and my class A car might come last in the era, but if it’s the only class A car entered in that specific era, I win ‘Modern Rally Class A’
That’s how I see it anyway
