There were some delightful cars to drive - including many of the SCX and Scalextric runners in the 'midfield'. However, some will do a lot better away from the off-road track. Mike's Celica struggled horribly on the rough stuff... it will get better Mike Thumbup

Here's the overall Stage One podium...

Off to cook something to eat now... and then I'll get the official results published. It has been a long afternoon - but great fun. Rebecca has enjoyed it too, jotting down the stage times and helping refine the race sheets to pass on to the other hosts. And the LapTracker timing app never missed a beat. We only had one track invasion too...

A successful first day of the event  Sun

It’s my first rally and the Celica was thrown together at the last minute, i’m Just happy it got to the end of the stage. Never had to set a car up for ‘rough stuff!’ Onwards and upwards!  Thumbup

Great work getting all the cars through  Thumbup
Ha! 8 laps in and I'm already 30 seconds off the pace.  Did always think I'd struggle over the bumps though... Here's hoping for a tarmac comeback!

Better than I expected, much better.
To be fair, my home track is Ninco, albeit without the snow sections.

When we get to other surfaces, I would not be surprised if it all went badly wrong.
Andy, Thanks for keeping us all entertained by setting this event up.

Cheers Andy, thank you for the commitment of your time and efforts in running the 46 cars.  Congratulations on establishing a fair way to handle the hosts hone-advantage, hopefully other proxy organisers will pick up this concept.
