Ok so finally I have chosen 9 cars which in my view deserve recognition for the "Best Presented" or  "those who dared to enter something a little different" award. 
But that is really what I hope this competition is all about.

Car A - Qman - Citroen 2CV
Based on a brass chassis, the mechanics look quite good, drop arm release a bit restricted (as I understand the host ran out of wire), not so sure about the paint job though 
   

Car B - Oxo Cube - Datsun Pick up
A nice scalextric conversion with 3d chassis.
   

Car C - Top Down - Hummer
A lot of work went into converting the original body interior into a pick up,  I was impressed as it looked very professional job and I would have thought this was a "off the shelve" RTR model. 
   


Car D - Makem - Mitsubishi Lancer
A well decorated hand decorated car
   


Car E - Road Runners - Odyssey 
Resin slush moulded body with great decals, almost looks like the real thing, I am very pleased with this outcome.
   

Car F - AA Recovery - Mitsubishi Pajero
Love the theme, and a well decorated car with working lights.
   

Car G - AA Recovery - Transit Van
A brave entry and our first medium size van entry, with a lightweight body but with all the equipment and lights inside is "not so lightweight"
   

Car H - Mitsubishi Lancer - Lifeboats Racing
Last years winner of the "Best Presented award", will be difficult to beat this year.
   

Car I - Peugeot 405 - Lifeboats Racing
Another great re-paint job from our entrant, looking like it could be in with a good chance
   

I will be asking Entrants to cast their votes as to which (apart from their own entries) is the "Best presented"

And tomorrow I will be posting the Official 1st Round Standings with points awarded 
And doing my Raid Car De-briefing
