GT Sports Cars Slotting - Official Results & Reports

Wavegreen Good morning

There was an intermittent issue recording these videos, where occasionally it would fail to record a car run sequence.
In particular ModSports Aston Martin DB9 timing run has not been recorded, however since this car made a rather unpleasant sound due to the front valance on the chassis rubbing along the contact rails, this is probably not such a bad thing

I don't understand the 'front valance on the chassis rubbing along the contact rails' with my DB9 as it doesn't have a front valance...

Life is like a box of Slot cars... Cool Drinkingcheers

Yes sorry, it was just the front underpart of the chassis which was too low and rubbing along the contact rails, fairly certain it was not the back as normally you only hear that on the track inclines. Where yours was continuously all the way.

Next Tuesday I will be recording videos of the Round 9 at NSSRC. Hopefully by then I will resolve the storage capacity issue.

Wavegreen Good afternoon,
I have just returned from North Staffs Slot Car Club after a great Round of the proxy, many thanks to Terry, Andy and Tony as the drivers and our host ClassicChrisk for acting as Race controller. I prepared the cars for the track and recorded the videos (which hopefully I will catch up on later in the week)
We had a couple of hiccups, and a couple of runs were repeated due to either track related issue or strange behaviour of one or two cars.
Chris forgot to record the fastest laps, which might cause me an issue when I come to do the accumulated results, but we will have to see.

And I literally tried to "pour cold water" on Terry's participation before the Round started, but if he's forgiven me, hopefully it's "water under the bridge now "  Tease

Don't ask me to elaborate further.

I added the Event comments based on my observations of how the cars appeared to run.

Wow!!!! Congratulations to all the podium builders, event and class winners and those that I may have missed. Looks like Green Star Racing and Brumos Racing will need to have a season ending shootout if this trend continues.  This has been the most fun for me since competing with Legendary Dave West for the 2019 Can Am Proxy Championship.   Graham, thanks for organizing, Andy Terry and Tony for driving North Staffs Slot Car Club for hosting.

Wavegreen Good Morning

the SCOREBOARD has been updated.

Pitlane Review Rounds 1-9
So it was great day out with the NSSRC for me, and interesting to see how the field of cars compared on the fast wood club track. And it certainly has put the "cat among the pigeons" in regard to the current podium finishers standings.

Sports Cars (Group 5)
1st Place - Bangers Racing / Ferrari 512BB (146pts)
2nd Place - LeManx / BMW M1 (142pts)
3rd Place - RoadRunners / DeTomaso (86pts)
Probably the home track for Bangers Racing proved to be the key here, but it does mean that I think for the first time Bangers Racing takes the lead in this Event.

InterSeries
1st Place - RoadRunners / Ford GT40 (148pts)
2nd Place - LeManx / Porsche 917K (136pts)
3rd Place -ALS Racing / Ferrari 412P (117pts)
Getting very nervous at RoadRunners camp as the Porsche 917K of LeManx edges nearer.

Global GT
1st Place - Bangers Racing /Honda NSX (140pts)
2nd Place - ModSports / Ferrari 550 (135pts)
3rd Place - Harrisons Racers / Toyota Supra (109pts)
Similarly it is too close to call between the Honda NSX of Bangers Racing & ModSports Ferrari 550.

British GT
1st Place - Brumos RSR /Ferrari 458 (160pts)
2nd Place - Green Star Racing / Porsche 911 (155pts)
3rd Place - Courtney Sports / AMG (75pts)
A two horse race to the final round, but who will cross the line in front........

Construction Class A
1st Place - Team Cube / Ferrari 355 (122pts)
2nd Place - ModSports / Aston Martin DB9 (121pts)
3rd Place - Savage GT / AMV (110pts)
Who will take the prize for Class A cars, the top 3 cars are all likely contenders.

Construction Class B
1st Place - Bangers Racing / Honda NSX (137pts)
2nd Place - ModSports / Ferrari 550 (129 pts)
3rd Place - Harrisons Racers / Toyota Supra (101pts)
Another two horse race perhaps between Bangers Racing and ModSports

Construction Class C
1st Place - Brumos RSR / Ferrari 458 (135pts)
2nd Place - Green Star Racing (133pts)
3rd Place - LeManx / BMW M1 (89pts)
Who ever wins the British GT Event will most probably take the Constructors award in this Class.

Best Team
1st Place - Bangers racing (500pts)
2nd Place - ModSports (450pts)
3rd Place - LeManx (428pts)
Looking like a certain win for Bangers Racing, but anything can happen at the NERCS final Sprint Race of the Series.
