Needless to say that this has proven not to work, although I stand by the results as showing that we do end up with the "right" or fastest cars finishing at the end of a series. No badly constructed or slow cars actually benefit from the system.

I think next year after the last in the series of the "Triple Crown proxy's" I would only run 2 or 3 Events in a proxy in future and only standard and open classes, but I am still contemplating how or if these will be done in future. In the end it all depends on the amount of support I get.

It depends if you're entering a car in the proxy with the intention of trying to win your Event or win your Class.

Event winners are nearly always going to be Class B or C because they're faster and not strictly limited to motor and gear ratio options like Class A cars.

Most of the Class A cars are in the bottom half of the Events results table but in the top half of the Class results table, that's because it's more difficult to put a quick Class A car together but if you do the competition is going to be much sparser and class points easier to win.  This has actually shown an opportunity for future proxies as a good Class A car is always going to do well in the Class A running...something I'm now contemplating for the GT Sports Proxy and is the reason I haven't filled the form in yet.

As I  continue to get a better handle on this scoring method, my bandwidth of car options will be much narrower going forward. I’m looking forward to our next Series.

Absolutely correct, and I kind of thought with the current proxy the increased incentive to run class A cars by allowing greater “modifications” to be made might give a more balanced field of the Class A,B & C cars. But unfortunately that has not so far been the case. So I am left with the feeling that this desire to have an even playing field is unrealistic because of the diversity of the Events within the Proxy and the basic preferences of the entrants.
But I am very pleased with the way we do the proxies in general. However I like change and therefore will look to change the structure of the proxies after this series of 3 finishes, to a perhaps easier understanding scoring based system.

Ok the penny has (now) dropped. I blame it on age  Rofl
If the same scoring system is going to be used on the GT Proxy ?
