Extreme Slotting Rally-Raid Proxy Round 6.

Sorry for lack of updates.

Spent 2 hours constructing a pretty decent Rally-Raid layout, and have even completed 2 classes.

Won't be putting anything up until tomorrow.....

Pictures of the Send Scramble layout ( the forum site didn't like my video attempt), followed by Class results,  up at various points tomorrow.

What I will say is that the Off Roaders have definitely been tested,  and I had great fun  Bigsmile
Here's a teaser....

EXTREME SLOTTING RALLY-RAID ROUND 6  - THE SEND SCRAMBLE 2022

LAYOUT INTRODUCTION.

I am in the lucky position of having a dedicated hobby room, built by best mate Andy and me,  which is separate from the house.
This enables me to run club nights, Send Scalextric Racing Club,  and set up whatever my imagination can come up!

With just one round to run this year I planned something bigger, better, and different  Rofl
A combination of Ninco off road track and Ninco tarmac track. By adding SCX track it just ran poorly.   Ninco is brilliant,  the conductivity superb.
One power transformer,  normal controller,  no power taps.  Scalextric Digital lap counter, and away we go   Thumbup

Starting at floor level and straight into a switchback of off road corners, short tarmac stretch into sharp right off road corner, then....

Uphill!!
From the floor level this section of track is 9 feet in length, with an increase in height of 3 ft 9 inches.
Pretty steep, and a really good challenge.  Will they all make it up safely?

The view from the top, shows its a good old climb.  We are now outside,  so where does the track go next......

Out the window of course  Wavegreen

Over the top of the climb, and sharp right onto the Ladder of Doom!
This section is 8 ft 5 in, about 4 ft off the ground.  Surrounded by barriers it's actually very safe, looks good though...

At the end of the Ladder of Doom it's another sharp right, and back in at the next window.  Very easy to approach this bend too quickly...

Over the crest and onto a quick decent.

5 ft 2 in in length,  this section of track drops only 1ft 6 in onto the large white storage unit.  This is the "Stadium " section.

Past the TV building,  and onto the Ninco off road obstacles.....

This is also the driver station,  so vehicles which fail to clear the 5 sets of obstacles can be retrieved quickly.

The "Stadium " Section.

Zoom in to see the 5 sets of Ninco obstacles.   These were kept in place for all 4 classes.
This section makes or breaks a lap.  Entries will need to be good through here....
