Good to see the Hummer found a track to its liking and with the drop arm pivot fixed managed a good second place, thanks to the proxy driver.

Hi Graham,
Do you have the results sheet for Round 3 Ninco class please?
Excellent looking stages, well done for getting our Proxy cars into this event, and a big thanks to All the members at Wye Valley

Welcome to Brighton, where the next round of the 2022 Extreme Slotting Proxy will start Friday evening and then conclude on Saturday.
The track has been built from Ninco Off-Road track, with a tarmac rally loop at each end. There's a Ninco 'Dune' jump on a long straight and lots of the Ninco obstacles to fit into the half-straight and Radius 2 corners. These obstacles will be limited for the Ninco cars' run this evening - and more full-on for the rest of the classes, as per the guidelines for the proxy (and as pictured here).
Timing is via the LapTracker - Auto Timer app on an old iPhone. Each car will get a thorough shake-down and then be timed for 5 laps - the total time is the primary score and best lap a tie-breaker. Average lap time will also be recorded. Here's a first test run by the course car...
I'll be filming all the runs (hopefully) and posting a quickly-edited video for each class, along with the results and some photos. Expect the Ninco results tonight and the other three classes through the day on Saturday, starting as early as 8.30-9am, depending on how early I get started!

Class R1 - Ninco
This saw some really close racing to start Round 5 - all eight cars were covered by just 7.7 seconds! Although only two patches of obstacles were added to the track, they were enough to cause plenty of problems. Trying to balance speed over the course with caution through the obstacles was always a challenge - and it was a slower car that managed the only clean run.
This is how each of the cars fared (you might need to view directly on YouTube)...
Surprisingly, no sign of the cat this evening. Perhaps tomorrow? Results and reflections in a moment...

This was a lot of fun - plenty of speed and then judging the caution over the obstacles. Sadly, the shorter drop-arms meant no big leaps over the dune during the timed runs...
I was surprised Paul's Mitsubishi held on to win - usually the first car of the group is driven a little more cautiously than the rest, but that might have been the perfect balance. Pip's VW was a little slower than the others - and that probably helped with a super-consistent run that took second place. Mike's Bowler was really quick and it was touch-and-go whether he or the AA Recovery Pajero would get the final place on the podium - in the end it was the Bowler by six tenths of a second...
Thank you to everyone for letting me drive their Ninco off-roaders - I really enjoyed them

And if you'd like a hi-res copy of any of the images of your cars, just ask.
