I have searched here and elsewhere, but have a few unanswered questions:
- Pace car available in all modes or just the specific pace car mode?
- Is there anything special about each of the modes or do they differ in just certain options are hidden in some of the modes?
- Why do we need to select the track set? Is that simply to do the speed calculations and conversions to MPH? What happens once I buy more track expansions and add them to make the layout larger? Won't all that be off then?
- I've seen folks discussing Magic ARC app. Is it safe for cars and power station? Seems to have good reviews so I'm curious what people here think of it.
What are the best tools for Mac or browser based track design? I am trying our RailModeller and it seems pretty good thus far. Not sure I want to pay for the $50 pro version. Are there ay good free options?
Also, How do they generate the plans shown on this sit, like this one: https://slotracer.online/track-plans/sca...-5133.html
Thanks,
John
Talking Utter Slot : Ep12.
What cars would you make if you ran a slot car company?
Would you buy a slot car from these men?
In Episode 12 of Talking Utter Slot we dream big and reveal what we'd make. Inevitably, we don't agree.
Also, Pedro insults the French language but defends Joanna Lumley's honour; Scott casts aspersions on the ACO of old but cautions against maligning TWR Racing; a deep love of the R33 Skyline is revealed; we float the concept of a Singer TR7.

Now and again a firm needs to verify your bank account and sends a very small amount of money to it which you have to check and enter on the relevant website. PayPal has done this a couple of times and sent 3 or 4p which remained in my account after completion. Ebay did it this week and sent me the grand total of 6p but they are so hard up that they took it back after the verification was complete!
It is very common for photos taken on smartphones or tablets to appear sideways or upside down on forums/social media/eBay etc. I won't bother with the technical reasons for this but it is a consequence of the way these devices store photos.
The easy way to avoid this is as follows:
always take your photos and videos by holding the device in landscape mode with the home button on the right.
Is there a slot-it motor that is a direct fit into a Scalextric Ford falcon? Hoping for a higher rev motor, if there is what would be favourite ? Thanks
Hi , just returned to slot car racing after many years away from it, I still have a couple of ancient home built hard body cars and have just bought three new ones, I need to get up to speed (ha !) with modern kit so expect daft questions after I have searched forum and failed . Ps I’m in Scotland
We're back at the Barn on Wednesday with another evening of Scalextric digital racing using the RCS64 race management system.
In a change to the published schedule, Wednesday's format is the same as last month with a Nascar club car team race followed by a Pioneer Legends pairs race.
Again, the event coverage will be collective DIY effort - if you have images, videos or words, please post them here.
Doors open at 6.30pm for practice and our digital driving school to get new racers up to speed. The racing starts at 7pm.
Entry is £3 for adults and £2 for under-16s. We ask that all young people aged 12 or below bring a responsible adult with them.
We also ask that if you have symptoms of Covid or the 'flu, please stay away from the Barn until you are fully recovered.
There are more details of our 2023 WHO/digital season in a pdf guide available as a download from our website: www.whoracing.org.uk/who_digital
