The race covered here is the Grand Prix D'Europe Automobile of 1955, at probably the most famous and most historic track in the world, Monaco.

Footnote

The 1955 Monaco Grand Prix was the first victory for Maurice Trintignant, and in fact the first win for a French Formula One driver.
Sadly it was also the last Grand Prix appearance for Alberto Ascari, who was killed just four days later testing a Ferrari sports car at Monza.
