Slot Cars

• Goggomobil T250 Carver’s charming, hand made Goggomobil has now had a mould taken and some resin casts produced. One of those bodies is now being transformed into a van.

• For Your Eyes Only Scalextric have released the new James Bond Lotus Esprit Turbo this week. The car starred in the 1981 Bond film For Your Eyes Only.

• McLaren M23 Also released by Scalextric this week is a new livery for the McLaren M23. This model represents the car driven by Nelson Piquet in the 1978 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort.

• Policar Ferrari 126 C2 Policar have announced that Villeneuve’s fateful Ferrari 126 C2 is now expected in Q3 of 2023.

• Racing Replicas Pete Shepherd has finished building a couple of lovely cars this week. The Maserati 300S and the Aston Martin DB3 were both built from George Turner kits.

• Carrera R1 Corner A glaring omission from the Carrera track range is an R1 corner. HobbyClassic are working to rectify this by producing a Carrera compatible inner corner, with either a single lane, or two.

• SlotCar Union Papercraft SlotCar Union have a good range of free papercraft buildings for you to print and build. They have everything from grandstands, garages and burger bars, to workshops, pit-walls and control towers.
