In June, it'll be two years since we started these HO proxy drag races in the UK. There have been sixteen races so far, with the classes gradually evolving - but somewhat limited by the length of the wall the Rock County Eighth Mile is attached to!
Although the pandemic that sparked a need for these 'socially-distant' races is now less of a threat, it is certainly not over... And even though parent-club WHO Racing will be back in action this month, the proxy drag event will continue with an annual structure that looks something like this...
- March - Spring Speed Nationals: All the classes run in the previous year
- June - The Inline Show: Various inline motor classes
- September - Pancake Power: A mix of pancake motor classes, plus the core Micro Scalextric Street Stock race
- January 2023 - Nostalgia Nationals: A range of different classes, all with nostalgia bodies... apart from Street Stock, which runs with any Micro Scalextric body
The Spring Nationals have been and gone, but we still have three mid-week races to look forward to in 2022.
