My MR Slotman Corvette C1 is exactly 57mm and according to scale should be 56mm from my Model cars racing guide. The Corvette C1 appears to have been racing in USA into 1964, but mostly as an open top sports car by 1963. So I could not find it listed as a hard top after 1962.. but that’s not to say that it didn’t ?
Probably the Ferrari & Aston Martin cars will be also to scale and much narrower, as they was in real life, but I doubt we will see the Aston Martin before November.

The current specification for the maximum metal thickness allowed for “Chassis Type B” is .75mm (.0295”). Would you consider increasing this limit to 1mm (.0394”). This adjustment would enable the use of the widely available .032” K&S Brass in the US, commonly utilized in many scratch-built chassis projects.
Also, the FF-050 brass motor bracket, offered by Slot Car Corner for scratch building purposes, has a thickness of .036” (.95mm). Can this bracket be used?

Come to think of it why is there a maximum thickness for brass chassis? If you wanted something heavier you'd stick lead ballast on top of the brass.

Yes this was an idea I had when I was thinking of differentiating between metal chassis which are supplied on RTR chassis and scratch built, but now as they would be put into separate classes, I can remove this hindrance.
I still not decided on the MR Slotman cars, they are effectively 1950’s racing cars carried over into the 60’s. Might be better off waiting until the series of cars has increased in the future for an earlier period proxy.

I was meaning that perhaps these MR Slotman cars would be better used in another proxy when we have a wider range of cars available, and that probably would be a 50’s period.
Making a special provision for just one brand car or perhaps two in the next month, is not really justifiable.
The actual cars could still be entered from other brand kits etc.

I have updated the consultation document, with the Chassis Type B clarified.
"Type B – Scratch build hand constructed chassis made from wire and brass plate or using Aluminium or steel chassis "
I don't think that thicker metal chassis parts will be that advantageous in terms of the context in which their use is permitted (ie the Events 2 & 4 and with the motor max rpm of 20k)

I will adopt the sensible suggestion received today to use the same dimensional width terminlogy for all Events.
Outer tyres wall width (track) to replace previouly Body width.
so the Hard Top Sports Cars become 55mm
Sports prototypes 60mm
Touring cars 50mm
F1 Cars 55mm
