The blisteringly fast Skyline made it to the top step. This car I think was the only one out of the lot to break the 7 second lap time.
ALS's Audi was fantastic to drive around here and (along with the Red Devils Laguna) has spurred a few of us to consider building up some 90's supertourers for a bit of fun.
Also, apologies to Team Cube and your Vectra, a marshalling error cost you an additional off which may have lost you something in the region of 1/2 lap.

Finally Event 4 Results:

   

   

   

Some drama came in event 4, this time unfortunately it was the RoadRunners Civic that fell foul.  The car was very quick around the track but then came to a very loud and abrupt halt. First thought was that the guide had caught something in the track, the race was paused and investigations were made with nothing obvious found. The race continued and a couple of laps later it happened again. Another pause, more investigating. In the end the general consensus was that, under load, the screws for the motor pod were pushed downward enough to catch on the rail joint. Tape was applied over the screw heads which appeared to solve the issue and the car was back on form; but obviously the time lost from the incidents hampered its finishing position.

My dog of a BMW M4 is not a great handling car I have discovered, but it's overall pace was just enough to get in onto the last step.  It completed the same distance as Tatter's Honda Civic, so the back-up of fastest lap time was used to determine the final positions between the two.

I wonder if the suspension has come apart on the Honda Civic, although normally the suspension screws would have fallen out if the restraining nuts had came off.

From a peek through the rear arch, the rear springs seemed to be in place so I assume the bits are all still there. Can only assume that it is a specific combination of events (corner radius, car entry speed and position, gradient and track connection) that caused it to be an issue

AdeC, thank you and your team for running the round, the video, and for the compliment on the 911S.   Looks like I either need to go up a tooth on the gear or run the SRC slimline in the future.  The video really helps.  Congratulations Savage GT on another win and congratulations to all the other winners and podium builders.

I have unpacked the cars and given them all a gentle five lap run just to check everything is working OK. Pleased to report that, apart from a few needing a bit of braid adjustment, all functioned as they should .

There are some seriously quick cars there and I look forward to the main event on Sunday.

I had an operation on one of my hands today, so I will check the updated results again tomorrow as I was entering them single handed tonight.
Hopefully they are all OK.

If so I will do my usual Pitlane Review tomorrow, which will probably take me all day, one handed 
But such is my dedication that the race must go on.
