Touring Cars Slotting - Official Results & Reports

Great looking track, I'd love to race on that.

That's a panorama shot taken with a phone, it does that to long straights as you pan sideways.

That's a relief, it is quite a few years since I raced there, but I thought the club had suffered some kind of subsidence  Rofl

But yes I think that apparently curved straight, is actually not curved at all and is possibly the longest straight in the country as far as slot racing clubs are concerned, but maybe wrong ?

But those proxy cars with a preference for going only in a straight line, might be disappointed to see that on the other side there are quite a few hairpin bends to negotiate

Schedule change
OK, with the NSSRC now into the equation I can put my own track back on the shelf as Reserve again. Although I will get to participate in the Round......like making the tea for the tired drivers  Bigsmile

Hi Kevan,
Yes, it's great track. 120ft lap length. I've been a member there, for around 2 years. When I first saw the track, it looked very scary, but I'm ok with it, now.

Over the weekend, we hosted the final round of the National GT3 Championship. Some of the fastest drivers were getting lap times below 6.5s. Typically, a fast lap time is around 7.5s.
I expect the Touring Cars will struggle to get below 8s, as they are likely to be short geared to cope with venues with smaller, twisty tracks with shorter straights, and are generally taller and narrower than GT cars.

I think I’ll be bouncing off the rev limiter on this one with the 911S.  The SRC BMW may be ok with its 10/25 gearing we will see.

Wavegreen Good afternoon

After my success with the google questionnaire on the subject of next years Proxy, I have been inspired to generate one for the

Spirit of the Proxy Award
This is restricted to self decorated car entries and you can't vote for your own car.
I have also attached this link to the leading page of the thread under the scoreboard.

I will also invite others than the entrant participants to vote this time, but you are required to register your name and Identity on the questionnaire, so if there's any "skulduggery" or suspicious multiple voting by club mates I might have to intervene to ensure "fair Play"

My vote is in  Thumbup

I'd like to see future 'spirit of the proxy' nominees to include the car as a whole not just limited to the paint job to recognise the amount of work that must have gone into the build as a whole.
