Initially I was disappointed as I liked the idea of a Targa/Panamericana proxy but after a good read through the cars/specs of the Goodwood Proxy I'd say you've levelled the playing field rather well

Initially I was quite nervous about using the Goodwood specific Events in case it was too constrictive, but the more I think about it the more i come to like it, especially as it relates to an actual event.
But I like both proxies equally and will only cast my vote if there is absolutely the same number of votes for each choice.

I’d like 8.5mm tires for all that motor and 1mm for Targa Florio please.
I think I’m close to ready these have less motor than the max.

Great looking cars
You can have up to 10mm on the Targo Florio Event. But I am unlikely to move on the track clearance as some of the Stages would most likely be “Rally like” so to avoid beaching you would need that clearance. I agree that the motor spec is too high for the “open class” in the context of a classic proxy, so I will drop it to 20k rpm at 12 volts.
But I should remind everyone that these are all provisional proposals, and as yet it is not decided on which Classic Proxy option is to be selected.

I just updated a few details on the proposal.
Goodwood & Road race options have maximum rear wheel width increased to 8mm, apart from the "Targa Florio" Event in the Road Races where 10mm are allowed.
The PP chassis are allowed in Class A category cars.
Open Class motors restricted to MAX 20k rpm at 12volts, to ensure that these classic cars are more controllable on the various tracks.

I obviously misread your post Graham, thinking you'd chosen Goodwood as the option over the Targa/Panamericana option...
...in which case my vote goes to 'Historic Road Race' as long as the Rally style is limited to flat tracks not bumpy tracks.
Funnily enough we're having a Christmas Targa Florio night for the first time using both Rally tracks and a round of racing on the big circuit.

If Option 2 is chosen are you only allowing cars that raced or allowing the 'pre-race' cars also?

No it is still to be decided by the end of the year, I am preparing a questionnaire to post online and for sending out to existing entrants.
Although the tracks used, if its for for the Roadrace will be sympathetic to the cars likely to be entered, there will be some single track gentle Rally stages but not so severe as with a fully fledged slot rally. It would be intended to realise the environment which the historical road race would have run on, and it would be waste just to run this only on fast Club tracks.
Road Race cars would be as listed on the Sports Cars Racing website, and maybe a few others if I think they would be appropriate but not even thinking about that right now until we decided on which option.
