DHL picked up the box early 10;30
Pickup window was 12;05 – 13;05 ?
So tracker is not inside the box
Royal mail usually deliver here around 11;00
I will however forward it to Phil when it arrives
Will recharge it 1st though ?
I did include , in the box , Graham’s details as requested

so the cars are on their extended journey again
good luck to everyone in the up coming rounds

Wavegreen Good Morning

Just before I start the review I should mention that I sent the "Tracker" by 1st Class post last Tuesday, and it sat at the Post Office depot in Burnley until this morning  Tappingfoot
But the good news is that the tracker is still working  Sun
And DHL was super efficient this morning and raced the Post Office van to Kevin's home  in order to collect the box before the tracker could be installed...they usually collect the boxes in the afternoon.....so Isle Of Man is not the only Blot on the delivery landscape.

So that's 2 Rounds off the schedule for next year....... Rofl    Only joking guys

Goldrock - Pitlane Review
Well after the trauma of the past 4 weeks trying to get the cars back, it was with great relief that we saw the cars in action again at Kevin's home track.
The track times were much slower than at the Manx club by about 20%, and perhaps this was a reason for a few unexpected results.

Fastest Lap Times

So overall we saw quite a few changes in positions as a result of this very different track and running conditions.

The position after Rounds 1-2

Tourist (Event 1)
1st Place - Savage GT - Mustang (35pts)
2nd Place - Brumos RSR - Porsche 911 (31pts)
3rd Place - RoadRunners - Galaxie (26pts)
A swop around at the top, perhaps due to my Galaxie able to sneak in between the Mustang and Porsche.

Grand (Event 2)
1st Place - Bangers Racing - BMW 3.0 CSL (35pts)
2nd Place - Harrisons Racers - Camaro (22pts)
3rd Place - Deadheads - Rover SD1 (21pts)
A very slow run for the Rover SD1 of Deadheads, as yet unexplained meant that the BMW of Bangers Racing and the Camaro of Harrisons Racers both benefited. But assuming that there is no underlining deterioration in performance issue with the Rover, I can see a swift return to form.

Super (Event 3)
1st Place - Savage GT - Calibra (31pts)
2nd Place - Mountain View- BMW M3 (26pts)
3rd Place - Hotlap -Calibra (18pts)
Whilst the Calibra of Savage GT is holding off the opposition, the two new runners up are looking quite formidable opposition. Slower on the previous Round but maybe on these Plastic tracks they will have the advantage.

Modern (Event 4)
1st Place - Deadheads - Audi A5 (35pts)
2nd Place - RoadRunners - Honda Civic (26pts)
3rd Place - Mountain View - Astra (20pts)
A completely unexpected result for the RoadRunners Honda Civic enabled them to secure 2nd place, but I think track conditions may have contributed to the Podium win on the 2nd Round. Bangers Racing Alfa 156 seemed to have a poor run on this Round.

Class A Constructed Cars
1st Place - Mountain View - Astra ( 34pts)
2nd Place - Harrisons Racers - BMW 320i (26pts)
joint 2nd Place - ManxEd - Calibra (26pts)
Mountain View's Astra maintains the lead after a fairly slow run on this round.

Class B Constructed Cars
1st Place - Mountain View - BMW M3 (26pts)
2nd Place - Deadheads - Audi A5 (24pts)
3rd Place - Savage GT - Mustang (22pts)
Probably the most contested class so far, the BMW M3 of Mountain View having a really great run on this Round  Thumbup But there is a whole load of similar performing cars not far behind.

Class C Constructed Cars
1st Place - Savage GT - Calibra (30pts)
2nd Place - Hotlap - Calibra (24pts)
3rd Place - Deadheads - Rover SD1 (21pts)
This will also be a hotly contested class and too close to call.

Best Team (2 car entries)
1st Place - Savage GT (118pts)
2nd Place - Mountain View (107pts)
3rd Place - Deadheads (101pts)
Swopping around in the top 3 places, but all the teams are very close so far.

So overall the competition is gradually coming to life, the next Round at Wye Valley Club will be completely different once again, with the very long lap length and difficult corners and hairpin bends, this is going to be a real test of stability

yes Kevan
especially when running and re-packing the cars
the coloured stickers for each car indicating its position / number in the events list was also a nice addition
sped things up quite a lot
