Ultimate Racer timing via an IR light bridge
braids and tyres cleaned prior to each run

sadly unable to provide footage this time but here is a quick vid of the layout

both damaged cars are repaired , forgot to take before/after pics

Graham all 4x package labels are in the plastic folder in the box

Goldrock is really a home track , and although quite large ( for a home track ) benefits cars that are tuned for this type of sectional track , rather than a club track , which are often much smoother and often have  larger radius curves
therefore usually gives different overall results to other tracks in the series , which i see as a good thing
there are atleast two or three cars in this proxy that are extremely fast which will suit other tracks but are at a disadvantage here
guide depth can also be a factor , a couple of cars in the next two events have very deep guide flags which will impede them , but will suit other tracks
this is why i like proxy racing , the cars have to be a kind of ' jack of all trades '
finding that elusive sweet spot is the ultimate aim for all of us
something i seem to be struggling with recently :)

The reason I mention Ade's Beemer was because it was one of the cars that had major problems in Round 1 and was nursed through the races and needed fixing after the racing and I didn't get the chance to test it afterwards.

You did a good repair job then Kevan , well done , it ran really well , a credit to your repair , my point was his gearing etc was ideal for my track , as can be seen by the lap times , nothing else meant

I was bemused to see my Honda Civic on the top spot, I would not have put any money on that coming in 1st for any of the Rounds  Rofl

I thought running the cars at 10 volts might have upset some of the cars.

ok guys the results for the last two events of round 2

Event 2 Grand

Event 1 Tourist

props to all the podiumites , well done
a fantastic showing of some brilliantly prepared and diverse cars
my personal favourite , although not the quickest or best handling , has got to be Makem movers Sunbeam Rapier , i just love the qwerkyness ( if that's a word )  love it !!

Brumos RSR can feel a little aggrieved ( if that's possible ) with his two podium results , i am certain his extra deep guides cost him two definite wins here at Goldrock
thankyou all for entering , i feel privileged to have been able to 'eventually' run these cars
my controversial decision to run 10v track power meant zero offs or damage , which imo is always a bonus
any how , good luck to everyone in the up coming rounds
and hopefully all our logistic hiccups are behind us now

and finally a shout out to the sponsors
thankyou for your continued support
