It depends how far off the track you're measuring magnetic downforce, 2g at ride height distance is very little but 2g at 8mm distance isn't the magnetic effect the motor is going to have on the track.
Our clubs mag checker and my own device measure the magnetic effect at track level, with these cars that's 1.5mm airgap.
I am measuring all the cars entered for Magnetic downforce and we will see what happens during the series, if the performance of the car has no relationship with track types ( wood v’s plastic) we can rest easy

In fairness as I am checking the other cars with the same motor they did not appear to run as fast, so I think I overacted there. There is even one with a measured higher magnetic downforce measurement which gave a mid range run time.
All the car construction details will be posted on the main database when we get to start the series.

Well it was glowing a little when it was running.........."Flux Capacitor" perhaps
But I think as we come to expect this car was put together by a true expert, excellent running car

Ok only a couple of days left
Registration update
I have completed the scrutineer report for the cars received so far.
Mostly OK, apart from another case of a stretched rear tyres, I will notify the entrant to try and get this resolved.
