Last night before the evenings Rally action, there were four cars from this Touring Cars proxy going head-to-head for nearly an hour, testing, tweaking, tyre swaps...the cars are very close, in fact I said we should have this as a class next year because the racing was closer than the club cars which are supposedly the same cars.

Good afternoon,
so having moved across from posting on the Extreme to here, I have a few updates.
Bangers Racing will note that I taken the liberty to move the Alfa 156 from the Event 3 into Event 4 (in which it probably raced moreso in this era) and to re-classify as a Class B car. Having inspected the car the branded "Procar" body looks much the same as a "Fly" one, so no reason for it to be classified as a Class C car. In addition it enables me to increase the number of Event 4 cars and reduce the number of Event 3 cars accordingly.

It was Saloons and Sports last night at the Manx SCC, the five of us entering this proxy decided to race our proxy Saloons alongside the regular Saloons, it was great racing and they didn't disgrace themselves at all, one or two almost matching the lap times of regular Saloons.
One thing that opened my eyes was just how kind these lower powered motors are on tyres, 4 of us running Shark 21.5k motors, the cars are slightly underpowered so don't tend to kick the back end round which means the tyres aren't getting scuffed on the lane braid in corners, consequently the tyres get polished which gives them a lot more grip which starts bringing the lap time down...the other upside is the tyres should last MUCH longer

Testing was underway at Roughwood yesterday, some tweaks applied and one car I am pleased with.
The other car not so much, may be a change of plans, but I don't have much time left

I had a question raised about "lexan" lightweight interiors, they do have to include decoration.
Unpainted or Virgin black or white Lexan interiors without decoration or undecorated pieces of card will be penalised.
Also ex- RTR bodies have to retain their original components or substitute parts for the originals. Cars arriving without full glazing, side, front or rear body parts will also be penalised. Minor details like wingmirrors can be omitted.
