EVENT 1 MONTE CARLO RALLY 

STAGE 4b SHED END CIRCUIT. 

Today I ran each category in the reverse order from yesterday's stage. 

First up was Green Stars Austin Healey,  which powered into 3rd place on this stage.  Fast but sideways,  ace!
Runner up today was ManxKevs Jaguar XK120,  really quick and drifting beautifully.   Just how a rally car should be 
Top spot for the second day running to ManxAndys Jaguar XK120.  So quick. 
The Landcrab continues to provide great enjoyment,  and set a decent time.  Fabulous! 
Pleased to report that the Alfa Gran Turismo got round, sort of.....  every lap at the back to back crossover corners it ground to a halt and was pushed through, but it made it and looked cool.

EVENT 1 MONTE CARLO RALLY OVERALL RESULTS FOR STAGE 4.

Fastest on both days, so a clear win for ManxAndy.  Well done for a cracking model.  
6 seconds back in 2nd,  for an Isle of Man one - two, came ManxKevs Jaguar.  Good job guys
Rounding out the podium was Team RoadRunners,  another Jaguar XK120,  but pushed mighty close by the great Austin Healey entered by Green Star.   Very little to separate these cars,  and really good fun to drive.
The Austin Landcrab and the Ford Cortina were next up, enjoyed both a lot.   The Alfa really struggled again unfortunately.

EVENT 2 GROUP B RALLY CARS 

STAGE 4b SHED END CIRCUIT 

First to go today was Courtney Sports Porsche 924. After a DNF yesterday it found this stage much more to its liking! 
Feels like it would be happier at Le Mans or Daytona 24 Hours than on a rally stage. Quick today though for 3rd place. 
The whole class was covered by just 7 seconds,  with the top runners so evenly matched. 
Top of the stage for a long time was the De Tomaso from Green Star.  I thought it had done enough,  but late on Savage GT's BMW M1 went fractionally quicker to take the honours, good effort. 
Nice touch on the De Tomaso,  the front lights stay on a while after its  been running,  cool.

No issues at all,  some cars slid around a bit more than others, but they were a great bunch to drive. Thanks

EVENT 2 GROUP B RALLY CARS OVERALL RESULTS STAGE 4b


A big well done to Green Star,  whose De Tomaso took the win by just under a second 
Surprisingly good on the SCX rally stage,  it was then well suited to the tarmac stage,  well deserved. 
A real revelation was the Bangers Racing Metro 6R4 in 2nd place.  it is awesome!  Proper short wheelbase,  drives excitingly,  very well put together, definitely a contender to win this Proxy event. 
3rd place, and just a fraction back was the standard looking Scalextric Lancia Delta S4 from Mountain View.  Not sure what you have done to it, but congratulations,  it certainly goes.
Just off the podium was Savage GT's lovely BMW M1, super quick on the tarmac,  it also held its own on the SCX stage.

Very close all the way down with Woodcotes Ninco Porsche best of the rest.  This drives lovely. 
Although it was only 9th this time around I particularly liked Harrisons Racers Ninco Lancia 037.  Great looking model,  really nice to drive,  one to add to the collection.   Well done also Team Cube, another Scalextric model holding its own.

EVENT 3   RALLY LEGENDS OVERALL RESULTS FOR STAGE 4


If your fastest on both days, your the winner   Congratulations to Savage GT, whose Porsche "savaged" the field.  Super on both surfaces,  a deserving winner.
Only 1 second behind was the Fiat 131 Abarth,  RoadRunners have certainly got this sorted. Looks, and goes great. So close to the win.
Rounding out the podium places we have a Triumph TR7,  for the second stage in a row    This time it was BARacers Red entry, which proved to be very good on both parts of this stage.
A special mention to JamesWV whose Porsche rattled itself silly on the SCX stage,  but put in a super drive today, and missed the podium by a very small margin. A good 6th was Scott Sports Ford Escort,  the only Escort in this rally, and it doesn't look like your average rallying Escort!   It finished just ahead of the nice Alfa Romeo from ALS Racing,  and my own rather subdued TR7. 

Nothing against Porsche 914/6's, but it's nice to see them being given a good run for their money.

EVENT 4   MODERN WRC 

STAGE 4b  SHED END CIRCUIT 

LAST GROUP TO RUN WAS ONCE AGAIN THE MODERN WRC CATEGORY. 
SO CLOSE AFTER YESTERDAY'S STAGE,  WHAT WOULD THEY MAKE OF THE SHED END CIRCUIT? 

Well, they seemed to very much like it.   Only the nice Scalextric Subaru from High Voltage had a slow run, just a bit tippy on most of the bends, but a very entertaining drive! 
It turned out to be a Citroen 1 - 2 - 3, but in which order?
On the top step was the Citroen C4 from RUSCILLO RACING,  yesterday's winner did it again. Really rapid, and using a Ninco anglewinder chassis set up, impressive.  It went round like a circuit racer, on both days, on both surfaces....
2nd was the little Saxo from Bangers Racing which was really nimble, apologies for the de slot!  Fractionally behind was the lovely Citroen C4 from BARacers. A bit off the pace yesterday,  it was proper good today.   Well done TEAM CITROEN 

Really good runs from Mountain Views Hyundai,  my own Ninco Focus, Scott Sports Clio and James WVs Subaru completed those within 2 seconds of the win.

Fastest lap   CITROEN C4  #5  RUSCILLO RACING   7.388s, quickest lap of the day.

That Fiat 131 is annoyingly fast...that is, annoyingly faster than my TR!

EVENT 4  MODERN WRC OVERALL RESULTS FOR STAGE 4


NOT HARD TO GUESS THE WINNER!   FASTEST BOTH DAYS, AND A WINNER BY 2 SECONDS,  WELL DONE TO RUSCILLO RACING. 
THE CITROEN C4 REALLY IMPRESSED ME, AND ITS NOT RUNNING A 3D PRINTED AFTERMARKET CHASSIS....

2ND PLACE OVERALL WAS MOUNTAIN VIEWS AWESOME HYUNDAI.  AN SCX MODEL I BELIEVE,  BUT MUCH MODIFIED. GOOD JOB.   3RD WAS THE SUBARU OF WOODCOTE RACING,  WELL DONE ANDY    THIS IS SO WELL SET UP, A REALLY NICE MODEL,  AND AGAIN USING ITS ORIGINAL CHASSIS. 
JUST MISSING THE PODIUM WAS SCOTT SPORTS RENAULT CLIO, BY ONLY 0.23 s, UNLUCKY.  I'D BLAME THE HOST IF I WERE YOU! 

BANGERS RACING TOOK 5TH,  MY SSRC FORD FOCUS WAS 6TH,  THEN A SMALL GAP BACK TO A REALLY TIGHT BUNCH.

I  CERTAINLY ENJOYED MYSELF WITH THE EXCELLENT ENTRIES,  SO A VERY BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED THIS TIME AROUND.  A LOVELY SET OF MODELS,  ACROSS ALL THE CLASSES. 

AN EVEN BIGGER THANK YOU TO PROXY ORGANISER GRAHAN.  IT IS YOUR TIME AND EFFORT THAT BRINGS ALL THIS TOGETHER. 
FOR A FIRST PROXY RALLY IT IS GOING GREAT,  GOOD JOB.

PERSONAL THOUGHTS.....
MAYBE WE HAVE A BIT TOO MANY CATEGORIES AND CLASSES.  THE WORTHING WINTER RALLY SPECIAL FEATURED A CLASS FOR CHEAP, STANDARD SCALEXTRIC MODELS,  AND WAS VERY POPULAR.  PERHAPS A GOOD WAY TO ENCOURAGE NEW ENTRANTS?   
OFFER  A CHEAP ENTRY LEVEL CLASS WITH LIMITED MODIFICATIONS.  WE ARE NOT ALL INTO  MODYFING  ARE SLOT CARS  BIG TIME...

IF YOU ARE READING THIS, AND THINKING,  MAYBE?        YES     GET AN ENTRY IN NEXT TIME, AND COME ON INTO A BIT OF PROXY FUN.  I TRIED  MY FIRST DURING LOCKDOWN,  AND WHILST I DONT ENTER ALL OF THEM, I HAVE REALLY ENJOYED THEM, AND KEEP ON LEARNING A BIT MORE EACH TIME
