Triple Crown - American Road Race Slot Car Proxy Tour

well another round completed and another set of results, which means that it is still all to play for in most of the classes. 
Well done and many thanks to the SMSRC  Thumbup

So tomorrow I will post my Pitlane Review, what happened to the Team RNLI Carrera Ferrari, I guess that one will have to return to the Entrant for repairs.

And then its on to "Goldrock" in Burnley, home of Team Cube to put the cars through the S-Bends of the Scalextric Sport track  Wrench

i will be using the outside lane 
there are 2x elevation changes , but there have never been any guide issues   Thumbup

the trickiest part Goldrock is the downhill section just before the esses , fully expect a few cars to get caught out here 
otherwise Goldrock can favour the quicker cars

these are new , will Greg Gaubs 3dp flexible barriers instead of the old scalextric type

Obviously any feedback is only based in what works well for this track and a proxy is always going to be a compromise between the different types of tracks but hope it sheds some light.

The rear screw on the back of the 997 GT3RS, should not be that loose. It needs to be snug to limit chatter,  with a small amount of body float.   Thank you for the video.

Ah ok, makes sense, it still ran quite well, the cars are all packed up now for the courier but hopefully the next hope can nip the screw up a bit if it is not as it should be .

It was a pleasure, your Camaro was a fantastic steer and I think will prove to be the better car overall but it was satisfying to get a heat win, even if it was at the expense of making a car too idiosyncratic to do well at every track.

Graham runs a tight ship, so credit for the smooth running must go to him.

Thanks Tatter for the coverage and congratulations to the podium sitters. Great to see the cars tackle another very different track. I'm wondering if my Ninco Lamborghini is also suffering a little from the body screws working loose. I wasn't expecting a phenomenal performance on the wood track stages, but it seems to have fallen off a cliff of late and the late two hosts have mentioned the possibility of some kind of rubbing/binding occurring. I wonder if OXO Cube would be kind enough to check the body screws for me (think it should be 1/4 turn off at the rear, 1/2 at the front - it says under the car) as there was a very fine line between getting some float and the wheels contacting the rear arches with that car.  If the screws have moved, would it also be possible to plug the holes with some blu-tac to help prevent it happening again?

That reminds me Ade, the rear axle/bearing had popped out when I first took it out the box, it went back in fine though, clearances looked ok on the shakedown but I didn't run that class.
