Think I might have to enter the next one, just have to decide what car to use, I wont be a sheep and follow the leaders from this one, I want something a little unusual

A big "thanks" to all of the hosts.
Three stage wins is much more than I could have expected from my first proxy.
Enjoyed this immensely over the past few weeks.

Massive thank you to all the hosts for a great event. Coverage has been great and I'm looking forward to the fanzine coming out. I have thoroughly enjoyed my first proxy, and am very happy with an overall top 10 finish; not to mention a couple of podiums along the way and most of all an actual stage win! Already planning the development of my little RS200 for the next one! Great work guys

It's possible I may get the fanzine finished tomorrow... But in the meantime here are a few stats that will be included:
The first is an analysis of top 5's on the stages (note: some were shared, so the column total may add up to more than 11).
Then we have the results for Classes A and B, including top 3 finishes...
Tomorrow will involved packing up some cars, ready for posting the first batch on Tuesday. Do let me know if you've moved in the past six weeks (!) although I will be emailing/messaging you all in the next 24 hours.

Leo did
The draw is in between Class A and Class B on the Facebook video... although I’ve rather spoilt the surprise now...

The fanzine is very nearly ready - you'll be able to read it in front of a roaring fire this evening.
Because a lot of you are already planning for next year, here's a preview of the official announcement...
There's plenty of work for us to do, but it'll be a similar event to the one that's just finished - building on what went well, learning from things that didn't go so well and - hopefully - benefiting from there being few (if any) Covid restrictions next January.
As for the cars...
- The 2021 Slotrally Rules and Classes can be found on the Slot Rally UK Facebook page here. There are just a few small changes from 2020. We'll put all three categories (Classic, 80s & 90s and Modern) into the one class, as we did this year.
- Our two Scalextric classes this year were a good experiment and a lot of fun. Scalextric is an important part of our club and of WHO members' slot car heritage - so we'll keep a Scalextric Rally Car class that is as accessible as possible. The rules will remain pretty much the same, but any rally car produced by Scalextric (Hornby) since the mid-1980s (ie the Mabuchi S-Can / FF era) can be used. That's a much larger range to choose from and caters for brand new releases (including DPR rally cross models) as well as your 80s, 90s and early 2000s classics.
- I'm delighted to announced that we'll be working with Staffs Slot Cars UK to run the Teamslot Challenge at the Rally-Sprint next year. This will be for the recent injection-moulded Teamslot models (Audi Quattro, Citroën ZX, Ford Escort MkII, Lancia Delta HF, Lancia Stratos, Renault 5 Turbo, Renault Alpine A310, Toyota Celica GT4) using the TS12 motor in an inline configuration, plus Teamslot components (wheels, tyres, guide, chassis, motor pod, gears etc). More detailed regs will follow in due course. You can browse the Teamslot range of cars and accessories at Pendles here. Teamslot cars are also stocked by MRE, Typhoon Slots, Top Slots & Trains, Slot Car Supplies and Weevils. The latest versions are superior in terms of the mechanical components, so eBay may be a false economy when you factor in new chassis, motor pod, motor, gearing, wheels and tyres. White kits are an option, but we will expect classy rally liveries... after all, these are beautiful scale models!
Your R&D programmes can commence

Here's the fanzine for you to keep and enjoy...
The 56-page pdf is formatted for reading electronically - it does look particularly good on an iPad - but if you'd like a high-res version to print out, just ask.
Included in the fanzine are:
- Info, report, pictures, full results and overall standings from each of the eleven stages
- Picture Gallery from the Devil's Dyke hillclimb stages
- Final Rally-Sprint 2021 standings, podiums photos, stats, class summaries and special awards
- Guest feature: Hub's favourite three rally slot cars
- Three 'How To' articles - a beginner's guide to preparing cars for a slot rally proxy, making rally loops and live streaming an event
- New rally slot car releases for 2021
- A look back at the 1961 RAC Rally and the finish in Brighton
- Slot Rally in the UK
- 2021 slot car proxy events
- Winter Rally-Sprint sponsors and supporters
- WHO Racing tenth birthday celebrations
- 2022 Winter Rally-Sprint preview
I hope you enjoy it
