Slotting Car Proxy Club

You flatter me too much Graham, I think I 'lucked-out' with the Ninco BMW...but it has really opened my eyes as to what a basic car really is capable of.

I'd love to do a proxy car build video in the near future.

Looking forward to the final draft of rules.  3A is that factory chassis, if so can bushings be changed and can we consider the SRP 20k motor? And yes, aligning, squaring, deburring and minor changes can potentially help a Revo run a little better.

To me the idea is not to prevent the best builders from winning, but to reduce the possibility of them running away from the pack without at least a decent fight.

I had seen recently that the modified class was giving a more diverse set of results within the field, even more so than with the ProCars, so this time I hope to close the differences a bit.

I think the “ Elephant “ in the room for the Event 3 is the inclusion of the Slot it Calibra, as it’s like the SRC Porsche 916/4 in performance terms. Looking at last time we run the Touring car proxy, it was a dominant car of choice.

So I will remove this car from the Open Tourers Event 3 list of cars.

But as Ninco produced their own version, the Opel Calibra will be included in the Modified Tourers Event 2 listings.

Wavegreen Good Morning,
Ok, so after cosidering the conundrum of the Event 3, I have revised the Plan.

[attachment=41231]

Alterations to note:
Tyres issue - "No urethane, foamed rubber or silicone tyres" all Events
Added SRP 20K S-Can motor to Event 3 listing
3B - Slot it models  increase motor allowance - "Must use the same brand motor (list of eligible motors) in original configuration"

Car list - Slot it Opel Calibra is not permitted

next obvious questions :-
hope im not being a pain

interiors and glazing for event 2 ? stock or free choice ?

i assume event 3 interiors etc is free choice ?

event 2 car choice ?
are the cars stated the only manufacturer of choice or just a guide?
as an example the Alfa 156 is also made by scx and proslot

Yes I have not added these details into the rules as yet, but I am happy with “lightweight” substitute plastic glazing and interiors for all the Events, obviously for Event 1 they must be Revoslot, or in 3A they must be slot it.

They are meant to be examples cars in Event 2 as I am not likely to capture them all, must be either Carrera, Ninco, Scalextric, SCX, Fly ……and I will accept Proslot.

I am thinking that I will  permit 2 car entries for Only Event 3 , (ie. a 3A Slot it and a 3B Scratchbuild), possibly may separate 3A & 3B into seperate Events if their is sufficient number of each. Alternatively I could just allocate the winners into 1st, 2nd and best of class  ?

But only one car entries for Events 1 & 2.

And only 3 car entris Max overall

Did the Renault Megane Trophy race in BTCC, BTC, ETCC, WTCC, WTC, Bathurst 1000, DTM?

Also, Spirit Peugeot 406, are these allowed?
