For a number of reasons I have decided to reduce my personal commitment to organising these proxies, therefore next year I am intending to only organise the "Classic Road Race proxy" during 2025.
I hope all is well and I understand as I ran 3 proxies a year in the past. Both Trans Am proxies, the. 997 proxy and NA first Revoslot Proxy. I was able to pass the torch off to 1 or 2 others so I could focus on 1-2 proxies a year. Hopefully you can do the same as you have a strong base, a good number of participants and a high concentration of tracks…

Classic Road Race Proxy Spring 2025
I have made some radical changes to my earlier proposals, as I have tended towards following the "National Rally Slot Car" rules for the proxy next year.
a) There will be no metal chassis permitted.
Andy said he won't be entering this one due to the new rule...

I have made some radical changes to my earlier proposals, as I have tended towards following the "National Rally Slot Car" rules for the proxy next year.
a) There will be no metal chassis permitted.
b) There is no minimum track clearance
c) wheels diameters are "to be to scale"
d) motors in all events to be in line configuration.
However I will retain the eligible motor list which will be limited to the motors which show less tendency to track magnetic traction and high torque.
I am expecting to launch this proxy with the Rules, after we finish the current proxy.
I can we move the tire width to 10.5mm on the rear?

Trued up six pair of tires on Staff wheels then measured. They are not 10mm wide as advertised. They are 10.3-10.4mm

But it's a tyre width limit not a wheel width limit, Graham has said previously that he measures the tyre.
I skimmed all the tyres back to 10mm wide so far in the last few proxies, even cut 2mm off the width of the Corvette for the next proxy.

Another rainy day here........
So I have spent some time putting a more cohesive proposal together for next years proxy.
Looking back I can see the most popular proxies were probably the "Brighton to John O' Groats Road Race & the more recent Rally Proxy of last year.
So it has made me think that this would work as a combined (Road & Rally Proxy for next year )
As I am only planning to organise one next year, I think we could be looking at starting perhaps during mid to late April time, depending on the amount of interest we get.
I have effectively used the established "National UK Rally Rules" which seems to be held in high regard. However I have restricted the motor list according to my experience relating to "magnetic traction" as I would anticipate using a number of Plastic assembled tracks as well as Routed wood Rally tracks.
I am open to any thoughts you might have in regard to these proposals.

I like it...but hope as it's all road based that we're not going to see offroad plastic tracks.

3 cars per entrant...is a pleasant surprise
Why only plastic chassis? Is this because SRGB is plastic only? This rule is definitely going to count one regular entrant out.
