Wavegreen Good Morning

we had a bit of an issue with DHL finding Merchiston Motors address this week, but eventually they are on their way down to NERCS club in Sunderland, lets hope they can find Sunderland  Rofl

Anyway its time for......

Pitlane Review
It seems that some cars are feeling the strain of the long journey and perhaps peaked too early , whilst others appear to be coming into their element. But there are two very different Stages left in the hands of our hosts which could tip the balance one way or another  Sun

So for the overall results

Cannonball Run
1st Place - Courtney Sport Porsche 911RSR
2nd Place - Brumos RSR - Porsche 997
3rd Place- Ruscillo Racing - Megane

What a difference a week makes, after leading the pack for so many stages Ruscillo Racing's Megane succumbed to the advances of both the Porsches of Courtney Sport and Brumos RSR. But still very close and maybe the last two wood tracks will allow the Megane to retake its position at the top.

Pan American
1st Place - Bangers Racing AC Cobra
2nd Place - RoadRunners Corvette
3rd Place - ALS Corvette

Absolutely delighted with the little Corvettes managing to take 1st place on at least one stage, but I suspect it won't be enough to catch that very nimble Cobra of Bangers Racing, and the wood tracks will probably be better suited to the Red Corvette of ALS. So I will still be lucky to make runner up position.

Classic Trans Am & NASCARS
1st Place - Brumos RSR Camaro
2nd Place - Team Tatters Mustang
3rd Place - Team Cube Pontiac GTO

Looks like the Camaro of Brumos RSR is making a break for it at the top of this class with the Mustang still in hot pursuit, whilst Team Cube's Pontiac is falling into the clutches of Mountain Views Camaro. Could be a close run for 3rd place.

Modern Trans Am & NASCARS
1st Place - Courtney Sport Porsche 914/6
2nd Place - Bangers Racing Porsche 911S
3rd Place - Green Star Racing De Tomaso

The battle for 1st place is still very much on between the Porsche's of Courtney Sport & Bangers Racing, it looks like the De Tomaso of Green Star Racing will secure a comfortable 3rd place. I somehow can't see my Greenwood Corvette managing to catch up even though I was pleased to see it again on the podium for stage 8.

Team Points
1st Place- Bangers Racing
2nd Place - Courtney Sport
3rd Place - Brumos RSR

Well although the Bangers team points took a bit of a battering up at Merchiston, they will be hoping for a return to form for the last two stages.
With two of the fastest cars in the field Courtney Sport Team will be pushing all the way to the end and may still end the hopes of Bangers racing taking the Team Prize. And of course we cannot rule out Brumos RSR whose cars seem to gained form throughout this competition, could they turn things up side down and end up winning the Series ?

So hopefully the cars will have reached destination by the end of today and the NERCS Club will be running the cars next Monday evening.

Graham, thank you for the update.  Bangers Racing will be tough to catch for Brumos Racing as we can not find the power to get around SirCourtneyS in Class A where the GT3 has won all but 2 races.  Tatters06 will not back off with that smooth running Mustang and his Merc is never out of the hunt.  It will take a the help of both Corvettes in Class B and a strong finish by the Pantera in Class D to help my little racing team.  Maybe a name change is in order, I’m thinking, A Wing and A Prayer Racing.

I kinda agree, but experience has taught me that on the "RoadRace" anything can happen, most of the front runners has experienced some difficulties along the way in addition to their well deserved results on one or another Stages so far, so I would not rule anything out and it certainly will be a closer finish than some would wish for.

We have given all the cars a test run tonight before tomorrows race.

All seem to be running fine.

Hopefully I will get the results to Graham late tomorrow evening (race starts at 7pm)
