ALS, Ithought you were sending the monster Camaro…I think I should’ve sent mine.

Wavegreen Good morning

A reminder that the real “Goodwood Revival” is taking place this weekend.

So I will be spending a fair amount of my time watching the streaming of the event, as I am not able to go myself. With this in mind I will look to run the Qualifying session of our slot car versions tomorrow, and post the results over the weekend.

What's the definitive 'wager' list?

For the last proxy you made a little chart for our guesses
...and when's the deadline?

There has not been any interest this time (apart from yourself and Brumos) to make this an official part of the proxy or offer a voucher for. And the deadline would had to be Friday night (or before I reveal the qualifying results) anyway.

But what I had in mind was winner for Each event, Best performance of a Modified Standard Car & Best performance of a scratchbuild car.

Wavegreen Good Morning

Yesterday I ran the qualifying session for the cars

Comments
I had a couple of issues, the rear body screw in the Batmanx Camaro was not actually holding the body on, so I replaced it with a screw with slightly larger head. ALS Camaro lightweight Interior was loose at the back, so I have taped it in position, and Mike B Chaparral had absolutely no tyre grip, so I had to sand the tyres.
All the cars with loose tyres where glued with the entrants preferred choice (at this point in time), if it stays this way will be interesting.
The ALS Mclaren felt like it was not running as fast as it should, but I have checked everything seems to be in order, apart from the braids fitted seem a little frayed.
Some other cars struggled with tyre grip on my Carrera track which is quite smooth.
And I worry that LeManx Jaguar looks overscale to my eyes, it looks very wide for a Jaguar.

Surprises
There were a few;
Did not expect the Roadrunners Ferrari 250GTO to run faster than Brumos Porsche 904 even on my track. On the otherhand did not expect Batmanx Porsche 904 to run as well as it did for such a narrow standard car, well done Ed.
Similarly the Camaro Z28 of Batmanx ran really fast as another modified standard car, did not see that happening either, well done Ed again.
Both Bangers Racing cars did not seem to like my track, but that happened before.

Hmmm, expected surprises but as you say some unexpected

What about the two U2.0 cars in the Gerry Marshall Trophy (Alfa & Dolly), how are they going to be classified?

According to the rules both would be regarded as 3d chassis cars

No, there was differences specified regarding the dimensions in order to keep things in scale but there is no split awards in the events.
