A straight flat washer will also work. It has to be a fraction smaller than the guide hole, and tight enough that it can't fall off.
Install it so the sharp part of the washer is facing up. The sharp edge will help keep it on.

A short length of silicone rubber tubing pushed down onto a washer will work well and take slop out of the setup.
