gutted with the scarab breakdown
but thats racing
thanks to Qman and all involved and grats to all the podiumites
Kev

The problem with your Scarab was just the ferrule was VERY loose in the guide and had popped out, (so little room in the body I didn't spot it until I took the body off) I have added a very small 'blob' of solder to each ferrule then pushed them into the guide, they are a much firmer fit now and shouldn't give any more problems

I must admit, Kevan you are truly the biggest fan of Proxy Racing in the World!!   I think it’s cool you enjoy it as much as I do.

Wavegreen Good evening

after a busy weekend, running my Rally cars in the Abergavenny Summer Stages,  winning the lovely Team Slot Renault 5 Maxi Turbine for the fastest Classic Team Rally car and coming 2nd in the Avant Modern Class  Sun Not bad for a Rally novice.

But now it's back home for the .........
Grand Prix Pitlane Review

So "porpoising effect" reared its head at Woodland Fort, but was it due to the car being too near the track surface or the Ferrari 1950's streamline design , no it seems due to a wonky rear axle on the Ferrari Squalo  Rofl

So to the results after Rounds 1-3

Early Flyers
1st Place - RoadRunners -Mercedes W196
2nd Place - Mountain View - Mercedes W196
3rd Place - Team Cube - Scarab
No change at the the top of this class, but the Scarab had some electrical issues this time, so with the host kindly sorting that out before the next round, we can expect to see more fighting with the Mercs no doubt

Classic
1st Place - RoadRunners- Cooper Climax
2nd Place - Bangers Racing - Porsche 804
3rd Place - Team RNLI - Lotus 24
All looks fairly predictable at the moment, but the late entry from Courtney Sport's Cooper Climax will be racing after the leaders soon enough.

Legends
1st Place - Team Tatters - Williams FW07
2nd Place - Ruscillo Racing - Ferrari 126C
3rd Place - Mountain View - Shadow DN1
A great reun by the Ferrari 126C of Ruscillo Racing, and a recovery performance from the Mountain View Shadow, means we will probably get some keen fighting from the top three contenders positions.

Modern
1st Place - Courtney Sport- Mclaren MP4/13
2nd Place - Team Cube - Williams FW40
3rd Place - Team Tatters - Dallara
There appears to be a pattern appearing emerging here with the first 3 cars nicely spaced out, but anything can happen on these Proxy events, and usually does, and we have only just started  Tease

Team Points
Comfortably ahead at the moment, my RoadRunners Team are enjoying the moment whilst it lasts  Sun
The next 5 teams, Team Tatters, Team Cube, Mountain View, Bangers Racing and Ruscillo Racing  look closer together.
Courtney Sport now with a full team are beginning to ascend the table, moving from last to 8th in one Round.

So many thanks again to Woodland Fort, hope to see them hosting again later in the year...... and although we seem to be struggling to get the cars back on the road, hopefully we can get the cars to Conington Park by the end of the week.

Wavegreen Good Morning

the cars finally arrived at Conington Park yesterday after a tortuous journey (DHL missing their deadlines at both dispatching and delivering dates)  Tappingfoot

The schedule has been changed for Round 5 as the host for "Roughwood"  has gone down with Covid, so our friends at NERCS club in Sunderland have generously made time available to run this Round there.

So hopefully all being well, the Conington Park Round 4 will take place this weekend.
