Well here we are, coming to the end of the GT Sports Cars Slotting proxy. 

And indeed the end of the "Great Triple Crown Proxy Series"
I have dusted off the Trophy which remains on my window ledge waiting to be finally claimed. The first series winner was Courtney in 2022 and he kindly donated the Trophy to the next series winner which will be decided this coming week.
   

GT Sports Cars Slotting 
Rarely do we see a Proxy series which is so closely contested in all the awards.
Generally looking like "Two horse races" at this final Round both in Events & Classes, most of the other contenders are probably just out of reach of the winning places.

Group 5 Sports Cars
4 pts between Bangers Racing / Ferrari 512BB & LeManx / BMW M1
Either could win this Event.

InterSeries
12 pts between RoadRunners / GT40 & Le Manx /Porsche 917K
RoadRunners needs a 2nd or 3rd place if LeManx Porsche wins this Round.

Global GT
5pts between Bangers Racing / Honda NSX & ModSports / Ferrari 550.
Another one too close to call, with either contender could win the Event series.

British GT Sports Cars
5pts between Brumos RSR / Ferrari 458 & Green Star Racing / Porsche 911.

Class A Constructed cars
1pt between Team Cube / Ferrari 355 & ModSports Aston Martin DB9

Class B Constructed cars
8pts between Bangers Racing / Honda NSX & ModSports Ferrari 550

Class C Constructed Cars
2pts between Brumos RSR / Ferrari 458 & Green Star Racing 

Best Team
Looking like Bangers Racing should win this outright with 50 pts advantage, but there are potentially 80 more pts to win in the series from the combined Events & Classes.
Should Bangers Racing win the Team Award they will also win the Triple Crown Trophy as they would be winners of both the Rally Car Slotting & GT Sports Cars Proxies. The Touring cars Team winner being Savage GT.

NERCS Round 10 (July 3rd)
This is the 2nd Sprint race of the Series and the cars will be run on all 4 lanes together in full race format, the accumulated results will determine the final placings of the Round and of the Series. The club will be installing specially high track perimeter barriers for their proxy Round to safeguard the cars. And the club will be recording it all on Video.

So there is plenty of excitement to end the GT Sports Cars Slotting Proxy and the final Round of the "Great Triple Crown Proxy Series"
