Needless to say that this has proven not to work, although I stand by the results as showing that we do end up with the "right" or fastest cars finishing at the end of a series. No badly constructed or slow cars actually benefit from the system.
I think next year after the last in the series of the "Triple Crown proxy's" I would only run 2 or 3 Events in a proxy in future and only standard and open classes, but I am still contemplating how or if these will be done in future. In the end it all depends on the amount of support I get.
It depends if you're entering a car in the proxy with the intention of trying to win your Event or win your Class.
Event winners are nearly always going to be Class B or C because they're faster and not strictly limited to motor and gear ratio options like Class A cars.
Most of the Class A cars are in the bottom half of the Events results table but in the top half of the Class results table, that's because it's more difficult to put a quick Class A car together but if you do the competition is going to be much sparser and class points easier to win. This has actually shown an opportunity for future proxies as a good Class A car is always going to do well in the Class A running...something I'm now contemplating for the GT Sports Proxy and is the reason I haven't filled the form in yet.
Life is like a box of Slot cars...
