After a lot of deliberation I have decided to allow Brass & wire or PP chassis into the Classic Monte Carlo Event 1 pre66 cars ONLY (but they are not allowed in Events 2, 3 or 4), however they must have at least 2mm track clearance (to avoid bottoming out). And it will still be up to the host as to if he feels that these cars pose a potential "electric shorting" risk on their individual Rally Stage, so these cars could be potentially withdrawn if they do so. I have amended the rules above.

I'm not sure that's a good idea Grah, as we've seen in other proxies brass and wire chassis can dominate small car classes which doesn't go down well with previous years entrants.

We get round these problems by classifying non-plastic chassis cars as 'Open Class', any plastic chassis with a pod as 'Pro-Stock' and all the one-piece unpodded chassis cars as 'Standard Class'.  Of course we still have the different eras but each era has these three sub-classes.

Aren't you contradicting yourself here?

After all you started this by saying that it was a bad idea to include brass/pw chassis in one class, then you say that you allow them in one class.
Where is the difference, or are you arguing just for the sake of it?
