After the trees and shrubs, here's an easy and inexpensive way to make your own hedges:

Copper pins (toothpicks or nails are also suitable).                                                          Steelwool (sprayed black).

       
Spray glue has been used to hold the mixture of grits from the model train shop.     The hedge is situated behind the sliding Talbot Sunbeam Lotus.
