My Carrera track.

Here is my new track. Carrera plastic which is painted. The track is 4 x 1.5meters and can be lifted by way of a hoist so I can park my car underneath. It’s fast with a bit of technical thrown in.

Welcome on board!!

My track was also built in a small space so I can see how you have used yours superbly!

Nice layout. I too built a platform in my garage and mounted a hoist so I can lift the track out of the way. I'm just starting out, basic layout from the Carrera digital set I bought. Need to get more track and build it out!

Welcome and nice layout! A suggestion I would make is to replace the plastic guardrail in the esses with border. It'll make for better racing if you have to think about negotiating the curves, instead of riding the support. But another thing about those is, I find, the cars sometimes get caught up in them because of how they connect to the track. Some 1:24 cars wheels end up hopping if they roll over the clip.

I only race 1/32 and have no problem with cars riding the plastic curves.

Very nice and well done!

The track appearance is much improved without the white lines.

Did you just paint the center lines or the entire track piece?

What was you process for painting and the paint used?
